I like that this flat iron heats up very quickly, and I love the flexible plates that allow me to move the iron more naturally. While I appreciate the thumb divot space, I wish the buttons were on the inside of the handle of the iron, or in a different location- I keep accidentally pressing them. Maybe it'll just take some more getting used to. The heat proof case that the iron comes with is very handy, as it lays flat to help protect your counter during use, and then provides a tidy safe case to put your hot iron in. The overall look and feel of the iron makes it seem like it's on the more expensive side as well. For curling, the iron slides fairly smoothly, and I was able to get some defined curls. For straightening, I liked the way it glides down my hair, but I don't think I see much shine enhancement or anything to suggest my hair hasn't just been fried. I've been playing with different temperatures with the flat iron, so again, I think it's all a matter of getting used to it more. I'm not sure Id buy this flat iron without someone recommending it to me, and Im not sure I would recommend it to a friend. It's a nice flat iron, but not life changing.
I received the Olivia garden flat iron to use and review. I currently use baby pro bliss. My iron is tourmaline plates and this iron is ceramic,so I was curious to see the difference..My hair is frizzy and dry and can be challenging.. The new iron is heavier and longer than my current iron so my fingers kept turning off the unit as I styled which was a bit frustrating..I swept it over my hair 2 times to get ultimate smoothness as I do with mine, and it was still a little frizzier afterwards as opposed to mine..I do like the heat proof pad it comes with so you can lay it down and not worry..The setting were the same as my current iron also,so no difference there either..All in all this ceramic iron was not as good as my current tourmaline iron..

I have thin, wavy, fine hair that will frizz even after using the best product plus a flat iron on my hair. I almost gave up on the idea of ever having smooth, straight, silky hair. I tried one of the Olivia Garden roll brushes (nt-54) and was amazed at the results from my blowout. When I saw this flat iron, I figured, for the price, I will try it based on my results from her brush. Wow, to my surprise, it delivered...beyond my expectations! I keep it between 365-385, and with the ease of glide, one pass through, and my strand of hair is smooth and silky. I was so happy when hours later, and FL humidity, it was still just as sleek. I am so happy I bought on a whim, with no expectations, and now have the smooth hair I have always wanted. This is a hidden gem behind all of the other over priced irons trending now. Her products deliver and I will forever buy Olivia Garden.

This straightener is the worst. I have long fine hair and even when using small sections, i have to make 10 passes for it to actually straighten. It doesn't glide smoothly and snags my hair with and without product. I have no idea how it has good reviews. I should've taken it back when i had the chance. My Kristen Ess was waaaaay better than this. 0 stars.

I had a hot tools hair straightener that stopped working after many years. I bought this hair straightener during the 21 days of beauty event where it was 50% off. I bought it because it's a ceramic hair straightener and my hair is on the thin and thinning side. It left my hair looking silk and smooth but not pin straight. I tend not to like the pin straight look anyway because it makes my hair look even thinner. I had no problem curling the ends of my hair or any issues of my hair snagging and appreciated the thumb divot. This was definitely an upgrade from my hot tools one. I recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade from their old tool, but not wanting to splurge on a really expensive tool like t3.

I was waiting for the opportunity to rate this product. It is amazing. The Olivia Garden flat iron is awesome. This is the first flat iron the straightened my 4C type hair and left a shine. Would highly recommend this equipment.

I absolutely hate it. It snags my hair. It doesn't slide down hair smoothly. I never return anything at Ulta but will probably be taking it back. I will try it 2 more times and if it still sucks, it's going back.

I was really looking forward to the gorgeous hair event Ulta was having to purchase the BabyLiss straightener… I saw that this straightener went on sale the day before the BabyLiss one did and trusted the reviews.. 4.8 stars is higher than all the BabyLiss reviews.. tried it out for the first time today and I had to pass over my hair pieces 2-3x to get a good straightening.. not just that but I waited a few hours and my hair is a frizzy mess now. I will be returning it and purchasing the BabyLiss one at full price since i wasn't able to take advanatge of the sale.. My hair is naturally wavy/curly if that helps

I absolutely love this flat iron. I have owned many different brands priced low to high but this one superceeds my expentations. The cord is also very long which I love. Glides like silk across my hair.

I usually use a different brand thats a little less expensive and i have never had any issues, however i just thought it was time to upgrade. I only use OG hair brushes and when i saw they came out with this flat iron i said why not. All my brushes and hair tools are always and only ceramic, so i knew i was good there, feature wise it was identical to the one i already had. Performance outcome, way different! So it heats up super fast, yet doesnt feel it on your hair its like as soon as it passes some how the heat is gone and i'm using 380. My hair is sooooo soft! my other or any iron never did that, it always left it "flat ironed feel" I couldnt believe it, and it holds the smooth shape as long as my other brand. I blow dry first with rusk w8less and OG brush so i only need one pass flat iron, but even if i air dry i usually only need one pass. The shape is nice its a little rounded on the outisde to allow for curling, same weight as most. Comes with a cute pouch/mat! love that the design is sleek and sexy

I wanted to like this flat iron, but each use i dislike it more and more. This is okay enough for the price, but I wish I would have paid up for something better. This flat iron constantly snags my hair (I have fine strait hair). I have to use a higher temp with this than I did my babyliss pro to get the same results. Along with a higher temp, I find myself having to make multiple passes as well. Lastly, the cord is so long! That is fine, if your outlet is in a completely different room, but mine is right next to where I style my hair, so the cord is constantly in the way or getting tangled around drawers. Also, makes it annoying to wrap up and travel with or store in general. Overall, not the worst option but I am not a fan.

I have been using this flat iron for about three weeks now and it beats my old Babyliss ceramic flat iron in performance by a large margin. It feels nice in your hand, heats up quickly, has a digital display, glides through my hair like butter, and straightens my curly hair in one pass most of the time. It leaves my hair shiny and my hair did not frizz up even though it was humid and raining over the course of the three days before I washed and styled my hair again. I purchased this on sale but I would gladly pay full price for this iron...that is how much I really like it.

I have frizzy curly hair that is hard to manage sometimes. This flat iron gave me a very sleek look that is usually hard to achieve

This flat iron is not meant to be used to dry hair as I've seen with others. This tool is meant to be used in dry hair to style it. I use it after setting my hair with magnetic rollers leaving it very smooth to the touch and sleek that last for 5 to 7;days. I love the lock feature which I use it a lot. I'm very impressed on how quick it gets heat. Though I'm not a fan of dark colors I must admit the details of gold in it bring out its style to a very classy shape. The tool is easy to use to curl the hair faster. It's worth the price and I recommend it.

Ive recently purchased this straighner and at first glance its great, heats up fast, does not snag the hair AND leaves it super smooth due to the ceramic plates. But my issue is that the plate dont allign when i close it and thefore the front end is much tighter and harder on the hair then the back end and therefore this is a no unless you dont mind that issue

Got my hair done in record time, heats really quickly, and easy to use. Make sure to register for their 2-year warranty.

This straightener is buttery smooth when going through my hair and I love how it comes with a protector so I can quickly put it away after use.

I dont own fancy flst iron so maybe im use to revlon/conair that heats up to 425 like right away. I have set this iron to 425 but i ended up doing 5-6 passing to get it straight and yet still not satisfied with how it look? I dont get that pin straight, shiny hair and i can di that with an old ghd and revlon, so i returned this unfortunately! I had high hopes the reviews said its great, at 4.9 that is suspicious!

I love this straightener mainly because how fast it straightens and how soft it makes my hair feel. It heats up with seconds and cools down faster than any straightener I have had before. You can feel the quality when using it as well. Ita sturdy and gives a lasting straighten every time.

I didn't think I would like it as much as I do, but I love it. It fits nicely in your hand with a notch for your thumb that is comfortable. One pass and your done. And the best thing is, it locks at the bottom so that the plates are always shut. Can't wait till this goes on sale again to buy another for work.

I love this flatiron! My hairdresser had a Hot Tools flatiron that I bought but it make my hair have flyaways. It didn't iron out my hair so it wasn't smooth. I ended up giving my hair dresser the Hot Tools and went looking for another flatiron. I found this one on sale and it's fantastic! I can iron my bangs straight and my hair too. It doesn't cause flyaways. It heats up fast and is easy to use and hold.

My hair has always been stick straight, so a flat iron was really needed. I've had the same one for about 15 years! But the past year or so, my hair has begun to develop a slight wave on some spots, especially when I let my hair air dry, which I try to do often. But my old flat iron just couldn't handle it, so it was time to upgrade. I grabbed this beauty while it was on sale and I'm so glad I went with this one! One, maybe two passes is all that's needed to get my stick straight hair back! And it's for a very sleek look to it!

Best hair straightener I've ever owned hands down. I use heat on my hair every single day and this is gentle on my thin fragile hair because of the floating plates and temperature adjustment. Its way better than my T3 ID hair straightener which says a lot. You may think its pricey, but for the quality of this product, I truly think its a fair price. I mostly use this to curl my hair and my curls last way longer than with any other tool ive used. Absolutely worth it if you're on the fence. Dont hestitate to get this!!

My favorite thing about this flat iron is the healthiness and look of my hair after using heat on it. Secondly, I love how quickly this thing heats up! The auto shutoff is an excellent feature I haven't had in any other straightener. It's an amazing feature for safety. Since there are 11 different temperature settings, it's great for all kinds of hair. I have really thin hair and my daughter has extremely thick hair. We both can use this straightener in the same amount of time by simply changing the setting.

I had doubts because I have never heard of this brand before nor this straightener however! It gives me the perfect sleek straight hair I need! It's affordable too which is a plus. I'd definitely recommend it.
Debbie B from Blue Point, NY
This flat iron is wonderful. It heats up quickly, is easy to use and does an excellent job straightening my extremely frizzy hair. The silicone holder is a plus. I don't have to worry about anyone getting burnt or damaging my bathroom cabinets.

This hair straightener is top notch. I normally don't prefer slim hair straighteners since i have a lot of thick long hair, but this performed just fine. The temperature setting is perfect for those needing a little extra heat to get their thick hair straight. The added mat helps protect my granite countertops from the heat. It is easy to use and store. Would definitely recommend!
