I got the color MVP, and it is an absolutely stunning true blood red. It's an absolutely iconic color in my opinion. And it's one swipe opacity. I love that even though it's a matte formula, it's still hydrating on my dry lips. However, this leads to its one drawback. It's not transfer proof. It looks matte, but it never dries down, so it will always stay slightly damp. It also tends to collect in the corners if you talk or chew gum a lot. If you have dry lips, or are just working in an office and have the time to touch it up throughout the day it's not a huge problem. If you need a budge proof lipstick, have very oily skin, or touch your mouth to various things like cups or a mask throughout the day, you will have some problems. It's also going to have issues if you eat. I've found that I prefer to wear this when I know I'm going somewhere, and will have the opportunity to either touch it up, or completely reapply it without problem. I've gotten so many compliments when im wearing it. I hope that Fenty doesn't retire this formula or shade any time soon. I also hope that they extend their shade range for this formula. I would totally buy more colors.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot what I was looking forThe packaging of this Velvet lipstick is stylish, looks luxurious, the color of the lipstick was nice too - cool dark brown, without an orange undertone (Bread Winn'r shade). The velvety formula is very light, I didn't feel it on the lips, didn't seem to be drying. BUT there are 2 major issues for me - the applicator is a mess! You won't be able to apply color evenly with the applicator it comes with. And what's even more disappointing - that's not a long-lasting formula, so the lipstick will be transferred to anything very easily. And if you could use a lip brush instead of the applicator it comes with, you can't fix the formula, unfortunately. It may still work for nude colors, you may not need to be as precise as with dark colors and wouldn't mind the lipstick transferring, but with dark colors like Bread Winn'r it's a total mess. While I like that it's very lightweight, I wouldn't buy it and wouldn't recommend it to anyone, I have a lot of other dark shade lipsticks that have way better-staying power. It also gave me a bit of a tingling sensation, not sure why, it's not supposed to do that.
