My skin type is acne-prone and a bit sensitive, so I am always looking to fight my acne without overdoing it. Strivectin chose a brilliant ingredient combination to accomplish this task! This formula utilizes the brightening ingredients tranexamic acid, succinic acid, Strivectin's own myristyl nicotinate, and acetyl glucosamine in conjunction with the exfoliating salicylic acid (BHA, especially helpful for acne-prone skin). In addition, they say this is proven not to disrupt the skin barrier, which I can both attest to and see how via the formula: soothing allantoin and humectants help to balance out the actives. This is also very pleasant to use. I find the packaging aesthetically pleasing, and it's easy to shake the product into my hands. Personally, I don't mind the addition of alcohol (which can aid in penetration of actives without drying out the skin, when the chemists who formulate these products use appropriate amounts!) nor fragrance, which keeps the product smelling overall pleasant. It absorbs rapidly into my skin and works well before my serums/moisturizers. Overall, I am very pleased. I have experienced no irritation, and yet I have observed a gentle brightening effect (and no breakouts, hooray!)
