I always buy sally Hansen insta-dry polishes when I want a color for a specific occasion when I'm going to be wearing a color I don't wear on a daily basis and I don't want to buy a high end polish. I bought this polish for prom and it went perfectly with my dress and looked very professional. I would recommend adding a top coat. This product does not last as long as other polishes but it is perfect for single use!Most Helpful Critical ReviewCaution with applicationPros: 1) Full coverage with one coat. 2) Fast drying. 3) The color is pretty much true to what you see on the computer. Cons: 1) Stains the cuticle/skin immediately so be VERY careful with application to not get the polish on the any part of your skin/fingertip. OR keep nail polish remover handy. I got the CinnaSnap color (one of the darkest) so maybe that's why it had such a staining effect. 2) The applicator brush is wide. Ok for fingernails. Not so great for pinky toes. Be careful again with application. 3) Wipe off brush before applying or the polish will drip down onto your nail and you'll end up with a gloppy mess of too much polish. Basically all cons have to do with application. So once you've mastered using this brush/polish, things should be much easier! Has to be applied very carefully, so it doesn't clump. I saw in another review to use a topcoat, because this polish chips faster than others. I used the Sally Hansen quick drying topcoat, but that's ruined by this polish now--the bristles of the brush are now glued together. But it worked--I'm on Day 8 with very little chipping at the tips. You wouldn't even notice unless you were looking. It glides on nicely with a smooth application and dries down quickly so there's very little time to make a mistake and smudge them. Even at 30 years old I still have issues not touching things while my nails are drying. I also really like the tip that's in these bottles and wish other brands would pick up on how great the flatter tip is. Make it's much easier to push down at the cuticle to get a good fan of the brush so you only have to do 2 swipes even if you're working with larger sized nails. It dries fairly quickly but i do use a blow dryer otherwise the bottom layers don't dry quick and I'll mess them up if I'm not careful with my hands.
