so basically I bought this 2-3 months ago because I heard so much about it on YouTube and reviews and stuff and people were saying it's not very good it was very controversial so basically I wanted to try it out by myself and I was skeptical that I was gonna find a good shade and I was right my sister literally called me Casper the ghost and my mom said I looked like vampire lmaoo and I got the shade 70 ivory and I'm a little pale but not to the point where I literally have skin that looks like paper you know? but anyways I got it at ulta and tried it out and to me it gave medium coverage and it says it supposed to have a " matte finish" which I have to disagree it leaves a satin or slightly dewy finish but satin more than anything and It literally felt like I had nothing on which I love because it left my skin feeling hydrated and not like I had a shi ton of makeup drying out my face I have combo skin but more on the oily side and this is the only thing that does not leave my face looking more oily than it already is i literally wore this to the fair I got on rides, ate food, had choclate on my face a lil bit and it did not move one bit its the most long lasting foundations I have ever tried no exaggeration I will say to use a pressed powder instead of a loose powder or baking powder because for me personally it didn't look the best with a loose powder so either wear no powder at all or pressed powder for me personally I liked the maybelline fit me pressed powder with it:)) my only complaint is that It's not my shade wayyy to pale for me I'm gonna get a darker shade when I go to ulta again and maybe even get shade matched if ur reading this who cares if someone says it's bad try it out for yourself u never know unless u try for urself!
I wish brands would use universal terminology and offer a range from very fair to very deep. Keep it simple and start with neutral undertones in very deep, deep, medium deep, medium, light medium, light, fair light, fair and very fair. You can reach everyone with this offering and people don't have to scratch their head wondering what tan, porcelain or cocoa translates to in terms of coloring. I'm sure like many I don't fit into a nice neat single shade. At least have the lightest to the darkest with a few in between so people can blend if necessary.

I wore this foundation maybe 3 times, switched up primers and it exaggerated my pores like crazy every time. Ive never had a foundation do this before. By the end of my routine, you could see my pores throughout my face which made me want to flip my makeup desk. I don't recommend this product.

this foundation has a good color match and it looks good the first few minutes but after an hour or 2 your face will start to look dry and it brakes out.

This is a great foundation for the price. Great coverage and good color selection. Applies easily and lasts all day. I like the fact that it is waterproof and transfer proof. I like the glass bottle and the fact that it has a pump. Blends easily, lasts all day and pairs well with the shape tape concealer. I think it would work well with many other products. I have normal to dry skin and it works great for me. A great every day foundation to add into your collection especially if you want to splurge on other high end items.

Overall a nice medium cover foundation. A bit difficult to color match. They should provide a more accurate color swatch on display.

Ok shade range sucks and shame on them for not doing a better job with it, but ive been using Este Lauder Double Wear foundation for years, was able to color match on the website based on my normal color and i cannot believe how good this foundation is at a fraction of the cost! Medium to full coverage, blends beautifully amd lasts all day. Im in shock and disbelief ive been spending so much on foundation for no reason. Looked too light at first sight but did blend out great and the color darkened on my skin. Run and buy this if you can find your color!

I stumbled on this foundation a while back. I am very fair skin so the lightest color porcelain worked for me. This is a very sheer foundation. I use primers before applying this and find that gives us a really smooth sheer coverage. I do use a makeup sponge to apply. I get a consistent coverage with the sponge. I think at this price point it's a good product with good results. If you're looking for something heavier with a lot of coverage, this might not be for you, but for what I'm doing it's perfect , it gives me a sheer glow. I have fair, dry mature skin

the shades are really trash, it looks like paint and not in a good way. If you want a cheap foundation get maybelline fit me. literally anything else but this.

I love this concealer. It does not make my skin look cakey or oily. It leaves my under eyes looking so hydrated and the coverage is amazing. But you do have to reapply throughout the day!

This is a good foundation with medium buildable coverage. Unfortunately, if you have extremely dry skin, you might get flaky patches.

This is one of the few foundations I have ever used that did not oil up on me by 5pm. I applied a light layer and it covered well. It's very worth the price.

This is my go to foundation!!! I've used everything Tarte, Mac, Nars, Estee Lauder to drug store brands and Mac has always been one I can never be without until I tried this Essence foundation. Absolutely love it reminds a lot of tarte and is a wonderful full coverage foundation yet feels so light and you can't beat the price!!

This foundation is a sheer buildable foundation. It sits really nice on the skin.

I like Essence cosmetics. This foundation works for me after using a primer and finishing it off with their powder foundation. Less is more with this product, I use a more highly pigmented concealer over primer for more buildable coverage. Last all day with some touch ups in between obviously. Overall it's good.

I love their concealer so I thought to test out the foundation right? It's great nothing bad to say. I can apply quite a lot and feel naked I didn't notice any creasing. I just almost feel like it could be better somehow? Don't wear foundation much.
