The Capsules are premeasured. You use the contents of the hyaluronic acid teal capsule first; then layer the contents of the pearl Retinol capsule over the top as part of your nightly routine. The contents of both Capsules are fragrance free. There is a lot of product in each capsule. It does take it a moment for both serums to be completely absorbed. This product is gentle enough to repeat this process nightly. I have combination skin. My skin isn't at all sensitive. On application, my skin had a luminous glow. For me, RoC made my skin soft to the touch. It relieved dry patches. I did however blot my T-zone so the product would completely absorb more quickly. Even with blotting excess product, RoC decreased the visibility of fine "worry lines" on my forehead as well as my smile lines around my eyes. I also noted this duo doesn't pill when layered with my other skincare or my other skincare and cosmetics. I love that these are portable and travel well. There is a generous amount of serum in the capsules- enough for my face an neck, plus a little extra for the backs of my hands. The serums are thick and have a bit of an oily feel upon application. My skin feels soft and hydrated until morning. I live in a dry environment so I think this product is perfect for protecting my moisture barrier over night. You have to make sure to use a sunscreen during the day when using retinol products like this. I don't see any changes in the ability of my skin to stay hydrated during the day or any changes to my fine lines, but it has only been 2 weeks so there is still time for improvement. My first impression was that the product presentation looked very high end with the teal and pearl like capsule colors. The packaging is very nice. My big complaint is concerning the capsules. There are times where it is very hard too twist off the top of the capsule without spilling/squeezing serum out, especially the teal capsule as that serum is more liquidity and oily. The pearl capsule serum is more thick, therefore it remains in the capsule a little better. Despite the application process, the serums themselves are wonderful! My skin felt softer, and my fine lines were less noticeable after a few treatments. I noticed too that my skin tone was more evenly balanced.
