It's been a while since I've tried or used any drugstore eyeshadow and these mini palettes looked really cute. I was really interested to see what the formula would be like in comparison to the higher in brands that I usually wear. I also have a 13-year-old daughter who I felt this would be perfect for. The shades are really pretty, very soft and neutral. I think this palette is a great for creating an easy/quick eye look. It's also perfect for that younger customer who is just beginning to get into make up and wants something they can feel confident in creating a pretty look. I found the formula very easy to work with, I used an eyeshadow primer which I think definitely helped with my color payoff. These are light shades so I wasn't expecting to be overwhelmed with color, but I was actually pleasantly surprised with the shimmers and how well everything blended out. I think this particular pallet and these particular shades work very well together. I am pleasantly surprised. I wish the packaging was a little better and that there was a mirror in the packaging. The color payoff wasn't there, it was patchy and hard to blend, and the shimmers had a lot of fallout for the payoff. I did really like the colors in the pan, but it didn't translate to the eye when applied. I used it without anything on the lid, concealer as a base both with and without setting powder, three different high end primers, and I still could not get the product to look cohesive or pigmented on the lid. Unfortunately, I don't think the formulation in this CLEAN line holds up under scrutiny. As a non-drugstore eyelid devotee, I really wanted to be proven wrong with this palette. I received this product complimentary from Influenster and Cover Girl in exchange for my honest review. I love that they have such a variety of items and that they are labeled clean. These colors are pink, but I would consider them neutral enough to go with many outfits. The mattes are amazing. I did not use a primer and feel they are very pigmented with no fall out. The shimmer shades, on the other hand, had a little fall out and we're not as pigmented as I had hoped. I feel that using a primer and finger to apply the shimmer shades would have been better, but I typically use a brush and they just didn't work for me. I also love the availability of Cover Girl products and they can be purchased at just about any drug store.
