I am very thankful to try it and it is a part of my rotation now. It has most of my demands met with cologne…especially with it being an eau de parfum and not an eau de toilette. Parfum is SUPPOSED to last longer on the skin at least through the work day. First off let's discuss the scents: Vetiver, Cedarwood, Carly Sage, Lavender, Orange, Grapefruit, Apple. It's a very inviting scent but it also gives off a status feeling of power or nobility. This is a woodsy, tid but musky, clean fruity light scent but there's something I dislike in it. I can't quite put my finger on it. I believe it's the Sage top note. It gives off a very unique scent. That has me wondering if it's good or bad to a 3rd persons nose. Now this isn't bad enough where I'm not going to wear it but it's just something my nose isn't used to smelling. I haven't received any compliments from it thus far. Which my standard go-to cologne gets me compliments by the dozen daily. Pros: Bottle is very sleek and elegant. It's an all season scent definitely fall scent. The scent is powerful with a bit of seduction. This is a unisex scent in my opinion as the Initial application fades it leaves a very nice smell that I feel is unisex. Cons: The flip top makes it a bit of a hindrance to use at times . The scent while being a Parfum doesn't last long at all. Maybe 3-4hours and will need to be reapplied. I don't carry my bottle with me as I shouldn't have to. The difficulty here is that it's very strong when initially applied so you think it's enough but as a few hours goes by it vanishes. If Ralph Lauren could fix this as it's surprising to see a parfum that doesn't last long I would rate it higher. Would I recommend…. For those who have a large cologne/perfum collection already; yes I would. It would make a nice addition to the rotation. For those who don't have many fragrances and are looking for their new go-to main parfum/cologne; no I wouldn't.Most Helpful Critical ReviewRalph's Club Tries for BlueI will say that Ralph's Club, is a step in the right direction. For several years now, Ralph Lauren's Designer House, has released quite a few duds. They've been boring, and also a less than exemplary performance. In fact the only Polo cologne I'll recommend with confidence is Red Extreme. That's to be used in the cold season, and if only they could make ones like this, they'd be known for their projection. I'd like to thank Influenster for this free sample. With that in mind I'll guide you the best I know, to see where this fragrance stands up on its own. First off Ralph's Club is extremely office safe. It won't offend anyone, as it has notes of lavender, sage, Virginia cedar, and vetiver. You're probably thinking, "that's only a few ingredients." That would be accurate, but that seems to be the new approach. It's my opinion that Ralph Lauren, is way late to the blue party. This is a blue style cologne, but it has nothing on the Chanel or YSL's that have been out for years. They are trying for a bluish style, and I do like how the sage and vetiver mix. Unfortunately very synthetic. This does give it a pleasant flavor. It is more mature than the boring Polo Blue and atrocious Polo Black. Yet it lacks the octanes of ambroxan, to deliver a scent that lasts more than a few hours. Some will like this a lot, but I'd rather go with YSL Y EDP than this one. That one is more alluring, and has a longer service life. As it stands this one is average, and it could be useful to some, who do want a more toned down experience. This is one for business or casual though, but admittedly I'm of the mind that cologne should be a little edgy. When this was released in 2021, I was excited as, with the marketing Ralph Lauren might have a winner. Yet the expression "the horse is already out of the barn" applies here. There are so many blue fragrances, and they took too long to make a substantial dent. Nothing earth shattering, although vetiver is one of my favorite scents in the warmer times of year. It's an opinion, but this lacks gusto and a scent trail. This is more of a skin scent. If you can hold off, and get it at a discounter, that would be a good idea. This is a guess, but I believe this is their attempt to compete with YSL. It's not even close, but I will concede this is a pleasant smelling cologne. This one won't get you attention or noticed, but some prefer that. The sample packs atomizer was quite good, and history shows Ralph Lauren, has done well in this area. That being said, I can tell you the moments after it arrived and I did a test spray, my boyfriend came in the room and said, "that smells amazing!" Aside from just the smell, the entire packaging is awesome. The bottle features a flip top so no need to worry about losing the cap: and it's made of a mix of matte and reflective black metals.
