I have oily hood eyelids and my eye makeup basically disappears/melts away within a few hours without a primer. I've tried them all and the main stream primers don't work for me at all (e.g. UD primer potion, Benefit Stay don't stray, MAC prep and prime, Too Faced Shadow Insurance, SB 24 hr eye primer, etc.). My HG was discontinued and I've been trying to find a substitute for nearly a year. Tried this primer as it was suggested for those of us with oil-slick lids and it works great for me. Plus you can't beat the price! Definitely worth a try if you share the same struggle.
Worked OKAY the first few uses then became flakey and ruined looks. Last night I had to remove all my eye makeup because it looked like I had a disease. Very patchy and flakes off in chunks. Tried to layer some of the Glossier stretch concealer over it to get a more opaque base and that made it look like when you let white glue dry on your hands. Terrible. Clings to every slight spot of dryness, which I didn't know I had. My lids are oily and semi hooded, for context. Doesn't work with the paints either, they come out very patchy and weird, even on first application. It feels like the UD one at first then after a week or two it's flake city.

I bought this during 21 days of beauty because I needed a new eye primer and I was so surprised! This primer makes glitter eyeshadow POP and provides great longevity--this primer made my eye shadow look last through 85° music festival weather and stayed in place all day! The only negative is that it dries down quickly so you have to place the product on your eye and blend quickly. This is now a staple in my makeup bag.

Wore this under my eyeshadow and I was VERY impressed. I have oily eyelids and this made it last all day long. You NEED this!

This is so easy to use and lasts all day and night! I accidentally forgot to prime one eye the other day and wanted to show the difference with and w/o.

THIS is the eyeshadow primer you need if you have oily eyelids. Ive tried rare beauty, urban decay, milani, etc., and this is the best primer. My eyeshadow does not crease with this even after having worn it for hours. Definitely recommend purchasing!

I like this eye primer, but not to put on top of eyeshadow. It's not tacky, so the eyeshadow just doesn't stick to it, but it does leave a barrier on your eyelids. My eyelids are crazy oily which can often sting my eyes. When I wear this eye primer on no-makeup makeup days, I have no problem with that. It's seriously a game changer on days that I don't want to wear eyeshadow.

So, I decided to try this on a whim since it was in a gift pack with other About-Face products. I was very surprised to find its pretty much exactly the same as the UD Primer Potion for HALF the cost. It glides on smoothly, mixes well with concealer and stays put. I will definitely be buying this moving forward.

I struggle with oily eyelids and I've always struggled trying to find eye primers that work, but this is INCREDIBLE. My eyeshadow stays on alll day

For approx. 3–4 months, this has been fine and comparable to the Urban Decay. However, it started to get flaky even with freshly moisturized eyes. Maybe the ingredients degrade over time? Maybe mine's a dud.

This is by far the best primer I have ever used. My eyeshadow blends well, packs well, and it stays all day through working 2 jobs! I highly recommend. Also, if it doesn't work as well as hoped for, try using a little less and blending it then letting it dry fully. Putting shadow on before it is fully dry can make it clump up.

I got this eye primer because I was tired of having to put a colored base on my eyelids (like concealer or other colored primers), and I wanted to love it so bad because it was exactly what I was looking for (no color and also left my eyelids matte). Ultimately, it did not make my eyeshadow look good (it would go on patchy) and you can see the separation and dryness around my lid area. I would not recommend this at all.

It made my eye makeup clump up, maybe i applied it wrong? Love Halsey but not a fan of this eye primer.

I love this eyeshadow primer so much! I've used many different through the years, but this is by far my favorite out of all (UD, Milani, Colourpop). I accidentally fell asleep with my makeup and woke up with my eyeshadow looking flawless... So it's perfect for longevity. Shadows blend and pack nicely as well. I've been using it for a few months now.

I use this primer daily and feel like my shadow looks nice all day. I would say it's closeeee to UD eye primer. If I'm going to work or brunch, I'm reaching for this. If I'm going out or somewhere hot, I'll probably still reach for UD solely for its longevity. Really like this product for the cost and will be keeping it around.

I am a bit of a makeup junkie. So trust and believe I have tried them all. This eyeshadow primer does not move. My shadow holds up until I wash my face at night. Little goes a long way. Highly recommend

I bought this with the kit during the holiday sale and looked at the reviews. I have tried this numerous ways, making sure I shake it, drying my tried and true applying two very thin coats and it always gets oily within a few hours. I love the Milani and Wet N Wild primer and have used those with GREAT success. This is just not useful for use with shadow and I threw it out!

The product felt silky when applied but I found it didn't dry down and over time, collected at my lash line where it caused irritation and milia.

it works the same as the Milani eyeshadow primer! it does go on super oily but once your start to blend it in, it becomes more matte!!

I have combination skin and typically my eyelids are dry toward the inner corner. I use an eye cream that works great but when I layer this on top it just completely dries out and makes my matte shadows look disgustingly patchy and weird. Would not recommend.

I have tried SO many eye primers (Urban Decay, MAC, Too Faced, etc) & none live up to this one!! I have oily skin & usually by the end of a 12 hr shift my eyeshadow is practically melting into my eyes! Not anymore!!!!!!! This primer keeps my eyeshadow looking fresh & clean!!!
