The bristles of all of the brushes are synthetic, but soft on the skin. Compared to other brush sets I have, I prefer these brushes due to the soft bristles. It really gave a flawless application for my daily makeup routine. I love the density of the brush heads, and the solid feel of the handle in my hand. I've owned wooden handle brushes in the past, but they never lasted, because the metal would come loose from the brush handles with the tiniest bit of moisture from washing my brushes. So far, these brushes are amazing, and can handle being cleaned without falling apart. It's hard to find a good, firm, angled brush that keeps its shape, holds and releases pigment well, and doesn't shed, and this brush accomplishes all of those tasks like a champ. Whenever I purchase brush sets, I'm always discerning my purchase based on the angled brush, which is my favorite goto for eye shadow, and it's usually the first brush to die on me. This is the best angled brush I've ever used. Even though they are so soft they are well packed still making them effective and efficient. The blend products great and with ease. I love the design of these, especially the bamboo handles. If you've used it cosmetics brushes before you'll get the same great quality we've come to expect from their brushes! They make application easy. I really enjoyed all 4 brushes but if I had to pick out one as my favorite i would probably pick the paddle foundation brush, I've actually been using it for contouring as well as blush application and really love the shape of it!
