The Elf C-Bright Putty Primer claims to brighten and even out the skin with 2% Vitamin C. This primer states that it grips the makeup to provide a long-lasting wear. I am a fan of primers that are created to "grip" the makeup because I don't like to touch up makeup throughout the day. Personally, I have normal to dry skin, so I was excited to try out this product. Upon first application, I warmed the putty primer in my hands before patting it into my face. After patting the primer into my skin, I let it set for a minute. Then, I applied my favorite skin tint and continued with my normal makeup routine. At the end of the day, my makeup looked flawless. I didn't get shiny/greasy or have to touch up. I felt like makeup application was flawless, and all my products glided on smoothly. I didn't experience any irritation or breakouts. This product also doesn't have a scent, which I think is perfect for people with sensitive skin. I honestly love Elf products, and I believe that this product would be perfect for all skin-types—normal, dry, combo, oily. I loved using this product, the Elf C-Bright Putty Primer, and I would highly recommend this product to my family and friends.Most Helpful Critical ReviewWorks, but it breaks me outI love how this primer glides on my skin. It brightens me while setting my pores up for makeup, even on long work days. I have to be on top of my skincare routine, especially in terms of preventative acne care, because this primer slowly breaks me out. I experience this mainly on my cheeks, but also on my forehead and a bit on my chin. I have to take extra care to double cleanse to minimize the acne. I've always dealt with acne, but I've maintained breakouts to be one or two pimples for the past two years. I have a love/hate relationship because my skin will look good at the moment. I prefer the gripping primer under dewy makeup, while C-Bright is excellent under ELF's CC foundation and other foundations that are matte or have a natural finish.
