I have 3ft of locs that have been damaged due to me dying my hair so often. This masque showed promising results just after the first use. My hair feels and looks brighter and healthier already. I like that it moisturizes without weighing my hair down and making it feel too greasy. I have incredibly course and dry hair so I wanted to give this a try. I can't get past the smell however. In the packaging it smells really nice so I was excited, but it left a fish smell behind once used on my hair. I tried adding mousse and blow drying my hair after rinsing this product out to see if that helped but it still has a fishy smell to the point where I've just been smelling it non stop all day. Will be trying something else, but that's just my hair it could work for others without the smell being fishy. Actually by using it my hair becomes very different from how I know it. Never in my life have I seen my curls defined in this way. Also it becomes shiny, which I ve never seen on my hair before. I have very fine hair that can't hold moisture, no matter how much I put in. This product keeps my hair moisturized and shiny several days. If you have hair like this too I suggest trying this product. I have 2b/2c protein sensitive bleached hair. My hair is low porosity per the "strand test" but doesn't usually fair well with low porosity products. I've not had luck with the like a virgin mask or Odele mask, and the Not Your Mothers apple matcha works decent- but this stuff is amazing! I have been using it after my clarifying shampoo and then again 1x during the week. I leave it on for a few minutes, rinse, run my regular conditioner through it then do my normal leave in and oil after. It has made my frizz so much better and even added shine to my overprocessed hair! I love it! I'd describe it as a clean, watery, floral scent, with honey and a touch of musk. Typically I am drawn to scents with vetiver, cardamom, and sandalwood, for reference. It is an uncommon fragrance for hair products, so I can imagine how others don't like it, but my husband and I are huge fans. Performance: I use it as a regular conditioner, and I love that my hair feels silky as I rinse it out. Currently I am using the purple curlsmith leave in, and an argan oil. before letting it fully air dry, I'll add the leave in, and the oil on top. As it dries, my curls clump together into thick ringlets, and I get zero frizz.
