Before I took the time to write a review, I wanted to have genuinely used the product. I purchased this product for the first time in April of 2022, so I can honestly say this ginger oil cleanser is amazing! I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, so just putting anything on my face doesn't happen. I had not really entertained the idea of using a oil cleanser before. I thought it would just add to the issue I already have with oily skin…I was totally wrong. After reading about the cleaning regime the company suggested I took a chance, and I am so glad I did! It removed every bit of makeup off my face. I didn't have to rub so hard on my eyes to get my waterproof mascara off or eyeliners. It even took my sunscreen off, without leaving that feeling on your face that tells you.. you need to rewash it. My face felt great just after that first step, lol. I wear contacts and at one point after wiping my eyes I opened them to make sure I got everywhere. Wasn't thinking at the time, nor that I would recommend opening them while cleaning, I don't truly know if its okay. I say that only because, I was surprised to find out that it didn't sting/burn my eyes, or even cause a film. In all, I loved the feeling of my face and how simple; yet effortless it was to remove my makeup. Will definitely repurchase when the time comes.
I have combo, sensitive & acne prone skin. I am always into trying new brands and products that are clean (always) & K or J Beauty brands as I react well with them majority of time. I am not new to cleansing oils/balms and use a double cleanse system nightly. I have used balm and oil and like both but seem to sway each time to a cleansing balm. I gave this Peach and Lilly Ginger Cleansing Oil product 5 chances because of the brand, tiktok referred, high price (wanted to ensure i gave fair shot if im going to pay higher $ and the constant good reviews.
Every single time I used this on wet or dry skin within 24 hrs I would have a new acne smaller cystic like bump around nose or chin area that were painful, took forever to rid of and never came to a head. I even tried using micellar water after the cleansing oil before my actual face wash to ensure I was washing all oil off properly.
This is highly unusual for me as I haven't reacted to a clean brand cleansing oil or balm yet but I do react very easily to products and avoid certain ingredients. Not sure what bothered me but also my 2nd Peach and Lilly product I've tried that broke me out horribly. Luckily, with Ulta you can return for any reason if not satisfied if within 60 days. Went back to my Good Molecules Cleansing Balm as that has never failed me.

I've been using this since yesterday when i purchased it. My nose already feels 20x smoother and my waterproof stubborn mascara came out amazing and there wasnt any blurriness in my vision post using when i was using the elf cleansing balm. 100% reccomend

I LOVED this oil cleanser. It took my makeup off incredibly easily and after consistently using it as a part of my doubke cleansing routine, i can safely say that it has reduced the size of my pores tremendously. Although pricier than competitors, I honestly love this oil cleanser and will be repurchasing it the second I'm done. It is acne safe and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to start double cleansing.
I have a dry and sensitive skin. This product is too stripping and irritating in addition to not being able to clean well. Broke my skin out and damaged my skin barrier. Also, didn't feel good on my skin. Wouldn't recommend for dry skin.

I don't know why this product is the way it is, but I hate it. I gave it so many chances, I watched so many tutorials, and it was a nightmare to work with. Sure it dislogged a blackead or two, and sure it left my skin softer afterwards, but at what cost? The consistency triggers my gag reflex. It lengthens my skincare routine significantly by trying to emulsify it and massage it and rinsing it off. I was under the impression it would help with my blackheads yet here I am, my skin looking no different. Double cleansing is for people with nothing better to do

My skin is more on the sensitive side and acne prone and this completely broke me out! After two days of using this I see all these whiteheads over my chin and cheeks. Im in highschool and it was break so luckily I didn't really have to leave the house, but it was really bad! In the beginning this made my face soft, but the pimples came out if no where.

I had a really bad reaction to this, which I never really fault a product for since its really subjective. But overall this is just a meh cleanser considering the price, I think theres much better options out there

Great for removing waterproof mascara! However, should be used in a double cleansing routine/solely has a make up remover. Otherwise it feels like you're washing your face with olive oil.
Cute bottle 👍🏼

I love this cleanser, its perfect for a double cleanse and leaves my skin feeling super clean, pores cleared. Its super easy on the skin and eyes while still getting my waterproof mascara off AND one of my favorite parts theres no film over my eyes like other oil cleansers leave. Super worth the price

It removes makeup effortlessly. Even when i dont wear makeup i use this before the gel cleanser and i love the duo.

Used this cleanser in the AM it was super sticky did not feel clean and i rinsed with warm water. It says it removies waterproof makeup and it didnt remove my water proof mascara… i washed my face 3 times and i still have residue from my mascara on my face. My face is now inflamed and irritated from how many times i had to tru and get the makeup off… very disappointed i heard good things anout this product and its not cheap eother. Not impressed wouldnt by again.

I'm so glad I gave this stuff a shot! This is the best oil cleanser I've ever used! Another brand scared me away from oil-based cleanser, but once I learned the benefits of double-cleansing, I decided to buy this and their calm gel cleanser and man am I so so glad I did! Standalone you really shouldn't ever use just an oil cleanser, nor should it go on wet skin, just a heads up! Used as a double cleanse with the gel cleanser afterwards I swear my skin has never looked and felt cleaner. This has become a staple game-changer in my routine! There's three products from Peach and Lily I swear by, and this is one of them! In terms od the eye stinging or makeuo removing, I don't wear makeup much so I've never noticed cons for using this for makeup or on your eyes, but I adore this product and am so glad I gave oil cleansing and thus double-cleansing another shot cause I'm never going back! Cleanest face ever, and it helps clarify too!

Have no idea what all of the other reviews are talking about. This stuff is AMAZING! I have combination skin. Sometimes it's greasy and sometimes it's dry. Depends on the day and my hormones. I do have acne and this has not made it worse. I have a very vigorous skincare routine and I use this as a double cleanse. It always gets off my makeup and has never burned my eyes or skin.. I tend to be very sensitive to products. Everything from peach and lily is amazing. I recommend their power calm cleanser, peach slices toner, dew essence, and water gel moisturizer to pair with this!

i love this product more than words can describe! it melts off my makeup so easily, and it doesnt leave that same greasy residue most other oil cleansers do.

Personally, I was struggling with my pores feeling coge up and since then, my pores feel clean and refresh. After using the oil cleanser, my skin has been feeling clean and smooth and hydrated. I aslo use the gel cleanser as double cleasner. I read alot comment saying it doesn't remove makeup or it burns their eyes. I would say, don't put it on your eyes, and I remove my makeup with some else and I used the cleanser as extra thing to remove any left over makeup.

I have dry, flakey, reactive skin. In the past if i wash my face every day, it gets irritated.
Ive been using this oil cleanser for over four months and have seen such a change in my skin.
My face is much softer, hydrated, and i notice almost no flakey skin spots. I could use this as many times a day as needed and have no issues.

There is so much about P&L I absolutely love but this cleansing oil is not it. I was horrified with the strong chemical smell it gave off when I used it. I tried using it once more to be sure but it was awful and lingered.
Courtney from Grand Junction, CO
This product has lasted me 4 months. It effortlessly removes my makeup and precleaned my skin for my water based cleanser. It doesn't stip the skin at all. Doesn't burn my eyes when i remove my eye makeup. Plus it is very adorable! Highly recommend!

This cleanser works to remove all non waterproof makeup. However, if you use this near your eyes, it STINGS. It also does a less than stellar job removing waterproof mascara, and leave behind lots of makeup, even after two washes with the oil. Perhaps if it didn't sting so horribly around the eyes I would be more inclined to try washing my eyes for a third time… but I would also just like a product to work the first time around. I would stick to the DHC oil if you need an oil cleanser — the DHC one is infinitely better.

I tried this out tonight and can hardly see. This stuff is suppose to be okay to use to remove waterproof makeup, however, it left my eyes swollen, burning and itching. I dont even consider myself to have sensitive eyes or skin but this stuff aint it.
Ann from Newport News VA
It's a just barely adequate first cleanser. It does not remove mascara or liner. I dont use waterproof versions of either of those things. I've been usuing oil cleansers for years and this was such a disappointment from a brand I love
Hannah from Pace, FL
Love this product and how it cleanses your facw of dirt, makeup & oils without stripping your skin making it dried out and prone to break outs. Will definitely try other products in this line
