I read a very positive review of Supergoop PLAY in a running magazine so I figured if it's good enough for runners, it's good enough for me - a cyclist. I've used it 5 rides now and I'm very happy. I've even used it for just waking around so don' dismiss this if you aren' going to be doing a sweaty activity. Supergoop spreads nicely and evenly. Once applied, it does a great job staying on. I sweat a lot, particularly around my face, and I've not had any unpleasant stinging in my eyes at all. The scent is also probably the best I've ever smelled in any sunscreen I've ever used. it's a VERY subtile, clean, citrus scent. I mean very subtile. So many sunscreens I've used before make me smell like a coconut or like I just visited a perfume counter. One thing I wish the website would show is how the various sizes compare. Since they didn't, I added a photo comparing the 3 tubes I purchased next to something we can all relate to - a $5 bill. My suggestion for cyclist is to get a 5.5 fl. oz tube to apply at home then the 1 fl. oz to stick in the back of your cycling jersey. I also picked up the 2.4 fl. oz which I'll probably keep in my cycling bag for those last minute applications right before I set out on my ride. Supergoop is a bit more expense than the stuff you buy in your local drug store but you get what you pay for. Give this stuff a try!
I put this on my 3.5 year-old and he had a terrible allergic reaction to it. I cannot be sure which ingredients, as there are quite a lot of plant/fruit extracts included in this, which can be irritating, but I suspect that it is to one or a combination of the active ingredients having now done some research on chemical sunscreen reactions. Our pediatrician even suggested that sometimes the combination of the chemicals and the sun can cause a stronger reaction. While this is marketed as "clean," I don't think I would agree. My 6-year-old used a Neutrogena Ultra Sheer spray and was perfectly fine and that was a good bit cheaper. I know I've used other chemical sunscreens on my toddler before, but I will say that we typically use mineral-based formulas and that is what we will stick with going forward. This particular sunscreen has FOUR different active ingredients, which could be why it is so irritating for some, particularly children. The reaction: I applied this sunscreen to my child's face and neck. The rest of him was covered and he even had a sun hat on. By the time we got home from our picnic and park trip, it looked like he had a sunburn in the areas where he wore the product. Given that we weren't in direct sun much and he had a rash in areas that were shaded by his hat (behind ears, for example), I knew it was the sunscreen. I gave him a bath to cleanse his skin and he continued to get redder and splotchier, as well as itchy. I contacted the on-call doctor who suggested Zyrtec, which worked to stop the itching. His skin remained red the rest of the evening., though. The next day, his eyelids were a bit swollen and the rash flared up on/off throughout the day. We are on day 2 and it appears that he (thankfully) looks better. I will continue to monitor and keep him out of the sun just in case. Very scary!

I really had high hopes for this and was upset when I saw the white cast it left.

I love using this sunscreen for the summer! It works as the perfect every day sunscreen and leaves my skin moisturized with a pretty glow!! I will also use it on my toddler to protect his skin when we are out and about! Doesn't leave me sticky

Idk how this has so many good reviews, this is the worst sunscreen ive ever used. Its so greasy and disgusting

Just no. This was so unbearable sticky after application - it never dried down for me and was very uncomfortable. It also did not seem to be anywhere near as water resistant as it claims - a quick 30 min surf session and I was a bit burnt. Frangrance is also very strong, which didn't bother me, but it is something to note. For the price and the hype around this brand, I would expect a flawless user experience. This did not even come close.

I use this as a face sunscreen and I completely agree with the other reviews. It does have a tacky transparent finish, but I've found that this makes it the PERFECT under makeup sunscreen and primer 2 in 1. leaves skin looking hydrated!

This leaves a white cast. Not for brown skin.

I put this on and it doesn't sink into your skin. It sits on top and stays tacky. Gross. Plus your face looks shiny. I prefer the Unseen Sunscreen.

First time user and I'm liking it a lot. It comes out of the tube thick but is easy to spread on your body. It's quick to absorb too without leaving a heavy sticky lotion feel. I wish it wasn't so expensive.

Working at a horse ranch in southern California, Supergoop is a welcome addition on sunbaked skin. Ez to use pump, absorbs well, is hydrating, no clogged pores, ingredients help protect against photo aging. Bonus is flies don't bug me with it on!

I wanted to love this sunscreen but I just can't get past the sticky feeling it leaves. It doesn't dry down at all and stays tacky. It's great otherwise, it blends easily and doesn't leave a white cast.

This leaves no white cast, has no weird taste, and goes on easily. Best sunscreen ever!

I highly recommend this sunscreen! Bought this one and the "every face" sunscreen for our Florida summer beach vacays. Wanted to try this brand and I love it. Will repurchase again and again!!

I wanted to love it because it came in a huge size but was highly disappointed. I did not mind the smell but it did not absorb into the skin well and left me super shiny and sticky. It does not have the feeling of a lotion, more like straight Vaseline.

I've got sensitive, fair skin and often find I'm allergic to (wildly) random things. Most other sunscreens caused me to break out in hives but Supergoop! doesn't trigger anything! It leaves me smelling citrus-y with a hint of herbs and I love it! I've also gotten a lot of compliments on how it gives me a nice, hydrating glow. For once this is a sunscreen I enjoy using -- there's no harsh sticky residue after application, no irritation, and amazing hydration!

So this sunscreen is kind of pricey. It does go on smoothly and protect from the sun, but it does leave you a little oily looking/feeling. The biggest con for me is that it says it's reef safe, so I felt better splurging on it for our trip to Mexico. But upon further research, octocrylene is not reef safe. It just doesn't warrant the price. It's decent, but it does also burn the eyes a little.

Make sure you see how your skin reacts to this before putting it all over. It gave me a rash all over my arm.

I tried this because I wanted a decent body sunscreen. it applies fine, but doesn't absorb well and leaves skin feeling greasy, which I know some people like but I personally hate. the scent was also not my favorite, it's like a lemony essential oil scent. if you like that sort of scent and a shiny/greasy finish, this is for you. if not, skip it.

I have extremely sensitive skin and unfortunately this didn't work for me. I feel like I'm going through puberty all over again. I broke out badly, hopefully my face clears up soon.

Since I've been using it, my skin looks different. It absorbs quickly and does not leave any white residue on the skin or irritates my eyes. I love it.

This product made my face way too greasy looking and made my forehead break out horribly!

Very moisturizing. No white cast. Blends well with makeup. Does its job of protecting against the sun. 10/10
