If you're sensitive to menthol products this will NOT be a fun experience for you! Meanwhile, if you dont find menthol products troublesome- you may find this exhilarating and envigorating. My partner now swears by this hair mask, (Their hair is INCREDIBLY curly and requires daily detangling), whereas I could barely BARELY keep it on my hair for the few minutes it suggested on the bottle, because the tingly scalp and intense smell was too much. SO, your mileage may vary, even in the same household! I really love this product. I find with a lot of hair masks that they wear my hair down. This made my long hair feel lighter and more airy. You must massage the mask from your roots down. I will warn you that there is a menthol feeling. At first I thought my hair was falling out! I think Redkin should communicate that this has a menthol/cooling effect. It's marketed as a mask, but the directions state to massage it into your scalp, which was new for me. It was...interesting to use. It felt sort of minty on my scalp, kind of like I was using toothpaste, but not in an unpleasant way. I waited a few minutes and then rinsed it out and my scalp felt refreshed and my hair felt moisturized. When I dried my hair, it felt nice and soft, so honestly this was all a pleasant surprise! I look forward to continuing to use this mask and see if it really does cause my hair to grow longer. The result is soft, silky, shiny hair. Been using it for about 2 weeks, 2 times a week. I love the smell too. It helps to calm my dry, frizzy, damage hair.
