Ever since I've started bleaching my hair, I was always told by my stylist to use purple shampoo, however no one told me to use purple conditioner! I hate to shampoo my ends, since it dries them out, but i want to remove the brassiness in the color, so I would just use purple shampoo once a week on the ends... Well this conditioner has absolutely changed my hair wash days for the better! Since I received this, I have used it twice (as i only wash hair 2x a week, once with purple shampoo/conditioner & once with regular shampoo/conditioner) and my ends are loving me!! My hair has been way less dry due to the ingredient Squalane, which helps with moisture! I let the conditioner sit for up to 3 minutes and rinse, after i exit the shower, I dry my hair with a microfiber towel, and then spray the IGK LA blonde spray, blow dry or air dry and my blonde looks like I just left my stylist! I have naturally very dark brown hair with several years of blonde highlights mixed in, so brassiness and yellow/hay-colored blonde is a major issue for me. I've been using Redken purple shampoo/conditioner for about a year and when I switched to the IGK combo, I found that my hair was drier and more tangled than usual, and without any meaningful change (better or worse) in the tone of my blonde highlights. I had to switch back to my old conditioner because I couldn't even comb through my hair when I used this one. Even in the shower with the conditioner in my hair, I couldn't run my fingers through my hair—one slight move and it tangled right back up. I liked the thick formula and the product itself is a very bright purple, which I thought meant it would improve my blonde, but I just can't get past how drying it is. After using it a few times, I also didn't notice any meaningful change in the tone of my blonde. Most of us using a product like this aren't natural blondes. I wouldn't use it every time I shower, I would not recommend using every day as it is strong and will leave purple tones in your hair. However, I leave it on for 3 minutes, after the shampoo, and it helps to hydrate and condition. I would use it once a week depending on how long it's been since I colored my hair. my hair feels soft and silky. The conditioning lasts to make brushing my hair so easy and no work at all! This revitalizing conditioner automatically had my hair soft as could be and the scent was amazing. It also enhanced my blonde and made it shiny and healthy. It is VERY purple in the bottle (and it can stain your sink or shower if you're not careful). It's easy to use and it works really well to calm any brassy tones in my blonde hair. The difference is visible from the first use. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't feel very slippy in the shower, so it can be difficult to sort of comb through my wet hair with my fingers. And unfortunately, I think that translates to dry hair, as well, because, while this product helps balance my color beautifully, it doesn't seem to perform as well as a conditioner. When I use it, my hair feels kind of dry and a bit strawy. I have started to use a second conditioner along with this one to try to achieve both benefits, balanced blonde color AND super soft hair.
