I applied it right after getting out of the shower - I put the product on both my roots and ends, and then used a blow dryer since it says it also works as a heat protectant. I usually use Olaplex or Ouai, so I would say that it's somewhat comparable in terms of giving you salon-finished hair. I've only used it once, but it's looking pretty hopeful so far! I really like the smell of all of the products. It has a sweet smell that's similar to the shampoo and conditioner, so it leaves your hair smelling fresh and looking great. I just woke up, and my hair is looking just as bouncy and silky as when I first did it last night - so that's a good sign! I would recommend this product to anyone who's looking to give some life back to their hair. I have bleached hair and use hot tools daily. I rely mostly on hair masques and oil treatments to keep it looking healthy. The day I came home with this product, I applied it to dry hair. It smelled great but I noticed no immediate difference. I go out for the night and before falling asleep, applied a little more. I woke up to incredibly dry, frizzy hair that started breaking off AS I WAS BRUSHING IT. I have worked incredibly hard the past couple of months to take better care of my hair and to see it shedding like a dog upset me. I understand the product is meant to be applied to wet hair, but after the damage I experienced using it on dry hair I wasn't willing to give it another chance. I returned it. When I use this, I can go longer between washes because my hair feels nice and soft for longer. For reference I have super thick, somewhat coarse and suuuuper dry long hair with a slight wave but I usually blow dry it straight, and this serum does wonders for my hair type. It gives me just enough hydration without weighing my hair down or depleting volume. I use this in addition to Living proof's PHD 5 in 1 treatment styling cream and I use Amika's Hydration overnight leave in mask as a leave in conditioner (my hair is really dry), and these 3 together give me bouncy, voluminous, gorgeous soft hair. I've also tried Living Proofs new bonding repair leave in serum, Oribe's Hair Alchemy repairing leave in serum, Olaplex No 9 leave in serum, and Bondi Boost repairing leave in serum and of all those, IGK Cash In serum is my favorite with Olaplex and Bondi Boost tied for second.
