I've been looking for a setting powder bc I wasn't liking how my laura mercier powder was looking on my skin. After talking to the girl at Ulta I realized my powder was laura mercier powder was expired and probably the reason why I haven't been liking how my makeup been looking. I was just gonna buy the same powder I already had but the girl who worked there suggested I should try Chanel and it was only 4 dollars cheaper then the laura mercier powder so it wasn't that more expensive at all. The Chanel powder is so nice and sets my under eye makeup perfectly. It's super fine and soft and gives you that blurring affect as well. If I had to choose between the two products, I would definitely choose Chanel over laura mercier. The packaging is also super nice and it comes with its own powderpuff which is amazing. It's also super big and will last along time, so you'll definitely get your money's worth. I just wish there was a separate compartment to store the powderpuff that comes with it because you can't put it back inside the container bc it would just be sitting on top of all the loose powder, but other than that I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. The lid was shaped to make it easy to use and blend with a brush but not make a mess. This powder has no safeguard in place to keep the powder from basically exploding everywhere when you open it. Not impressed at all. For the money, Chanel should have some design ingenuity in the product. There is zero. Pretty sure a mass produced product would be less of a let down. You can not travel with it as it will be everywhere. The product basically only work sitting on your vanity and to be opened with caution. I use Dior matte foundation, estee lauder concealer and I've been wanting to try this forever as Bobby brown stopped making a translucent powder I like. This is perfect I honestly use this under eyes and t zone. I don't use as a normal brush off setting powder. Works beautifully and my face is intact all day with Dior setting spray. It's summer where my face is usually melting but now it looks flawless all day. I needed a nice finishing powder, and after reading the reviews, I got this one. It did not disappoint! The texture is amazing—soft and light. I put it on over foundation and spray it with Tarte setting spray. Even after a full day of teaching, my skin does not look oily (or cakey, for that matter). This powder applies beautifully, creates an airbrushed finish, and is completely undetectable. I have light-medium skin but started using this when I was on the lighter side (during winter). Makes a BIG difference in the overall appearance of your makeup.
