It's a lotion.I just tried this product and very upset. First, I received a sample of "Liquid Facial Soap". I loved it. Since I have very dry skin, when I made a purchase I picked "very to very dry" . But this was very different from the sample that I got. I guess the sample was for other skin type. This dry/very dry skin type product is not a soap. It looks like lotion and feels like lotion. Unlike other skin type, this one does not foam.( because it's lotion!) They shouldn't call this "soap". I don't smell any scent from it, and it never once said it was a makeup remover. Just simply a good face wash and I love that. I understand it's a con to not have makeup removed as well but I get micellar water to do that after I wash my face to get the most off. I will say a little goes a long way. One of the Clinique ladies at my local Ulta suggested this to be as I have combination and acne prone skin. Within a week of using it, I broke out horribly. So horribly that I almost took it back. One of my friends told me to give it another chance as face washes like this tend to pull the garbage from your skin, causing you to break out but it will get better. I'm so glad I listened to her. It does dry my skin out a bit, so I started using it every other day and pair it with my Clinique daily moisturizer.
