Me: 40 yo old Indian (south Asian) woman. I am brown. I have controlled rosacea. I don't wear makeup except for lipstick, occasionally. I was looking for a product where my skin would come through and not be covered up. This pandemic year, I invested time in searching for a mineral sunscreen that would leave the most minimal cast and show case me as I am. I tried Colorescience Sunforgettable total protection face shield glow spf 50 and SuperGoop! Sheer Sunscreen SPF 30, and retried Tizo3 Age Defying fusion SPF 40. For all 3 I applied the ¼ tsp on my face. None of these reapply well - they build up on the previous application and definitely make a brown woman look odd. I like the Supergoop Sheer a lot – among the 3 it's the best in that I look like myself after about 10 minutes, though it still leaves a mild white cast (it's advertised as sheer not 'no' cast). Easy to apply, it is a bit tacky/sticky if you touch your face. I have EXTREMELY sensitive eyes and found that I could apply across my eyes with NO problems. I found that the white cast gets worse when I reapply subsequent layers 2-3 hours later. Sunforgettable has amazing ingredients too but the color was generally too light (and deep was too dark) for my skin and quite bad if applying ¼ tsp. I would not reapply after 2-3 hours because it does not build well. It leaves a "dewy" finish. Tizo3 in terms of color, texture and feel was the best. It leaves a matte finish and left me looking slightly paler than I am but a lot better than Sunforgettable. Tizo reapplication 2-3 hours later is also not good – I started looking ashen. For all 3, I reapplied with sunscreen using Sunforgettable Brush on SPF 50 (Deep). With SuperGoop Sheer, it looked like me. Supergoop Sheer is my new go to with Sunforgettable brush on for reapplications.
I used a full tube of Unseen and LOVED it, didn't break me out at all. BUT, I wanted something with Zinc Oxide for better protection. I have used EltaMD previously and it was fine, didn't break me out but the texture was too thick - so that led me here. The texture on this one is much better than most mineral sunscreens, it does still leave a little white residue in my eyebrows or baby hairs but that's fine. The issue is, within a week, I had clogged pores all over my chin, by my nose, and between my eyebrows. I am writing this one week after stopping using the product, with no other product changes, so sadly I know it was this sunscreen. If you don' have an issue with clogging, this would be a great option to try! If you're sensitive like me, proceed with caution. I was able to exchange for the Mineral Matte Screen and I'm hopeful that will work out because I really do love Supergoop!

Wow! I am so in love. Super sheer and soft. No white cast. Does not clog my pores or irritation my sennsitive, acne prone skin. I have tried many sunscreens and this one is by far my favorite. I apply over my water based Peach & Lily skincare routine and it glides and blends right into my skin. I'm obsessed!

I am now a daily sunscreen user thanks to this product. I have sensitive acne prone skin and this sunscreen does not irritate or clog my pores. I have tried sunscreens from Neutrogena, La Roche Posay, Shiseido, but they have not worked well for my skin. I felt it left my face oily and clogged my pores. I have been using Supergoop mineral sunscreen for 9 months now and I love it! I love how it feels, how it makes my skin glow, how it's hydrating, how it can be a primer, and I love that it is mineral. I don't notice a smell and it's never left a white cast on my face . For reference I am hispanic and my skin tone is light beige. I always recommend this product to friends wanting to starting their sunscreen journey.

I love supergoop. However their sunscreens are not all acne safe when checked with the new york acne clinic poor clogging ingredient checker. This one is. First off the smell is awful. Smells lile tortilla chips. It algo goes on smooth but dries like elmers glue. White, peeling, rubbery. When I apply make up on top its a nightmare. The edges of my
Face are white peeling lines and the sunscreen pills underneath. Wish more of
Their stuff was acne safe cause this not it.

Wanted to love it, but the whitecast is soooo bad (i have pale skin and still got a TERREIBLE whitecast) also smells a little weird. Definitely returning. Has really good ingredients though! Good for sensitive skin, acne prone, and oily skin.

So it does its job and didnt break me out personally. It had a strong initial white cast but faded on me personally overtime. I'm very fair so I don't know how it would do on deeper skin tones. Also it kinda smelled like peanut butter? Not sure if mine is a bad batch but I don't think I would buy it again when the mineral matte or glow screen from this brand are better. Also I have combo skin with an oily nose for anyone curious about skin types. My skin also is not sensitive.

Pricey but Awesome!
I liked it when I used it but I don't think it's worth the money, ingredients are great, doesn't irritate my skin, smells good. It is very small, lasted me about a month though. Have white cast and peels off. Overall wouldn't repurchase.

I was looking for a sunscreen primer that would work with my allergies. I tried this on in the store and my skin stung at first. By the time I returned home, I had pain, swelling, and welts. Two days of cortisone later I still can't figure out what I'm allergic to in this product. I'm allergic to fragrance, talc, and titanium dioxide. This didn't list any of those things. I returned the unopened product.

I wanted to love this, but it didn't work for me. My skin is fair with an oily T zone. This goes on VERY heavy and is hard to blend out. Not to mention it dries down very quickly so you have to work fast and leaves a very noticeable white cast. I've tried applying it with or without my other skincare (Vit C, toner, moisturizer), damp skin, dry skin, and all of these attempts always end up the same: Strong white cast, patchiness, pills up, dryness, all around hot mess. No way to wear it under makeup and alone it just looks absurd. I will continue to use up the tube for hikes outdoors where I am covering my face with a large brim hat but cannot recommend.

This was recommended to me by a store associate and obviously I'm not putting this on her as she was very kind, but this gave me such a bad allergic reaction on my neck:( it's itchy and it's painful. The smell of the suncreen is okay. I liked the way it made my skin look so its pretty disappointing.

I have very sensitive skin and this is the best mineral sunscreen I have tried! So many others irritated my skin or sting and this doesn't do that at all. It actually makes it feel better which I didn't think was possible for me.

After letting my moisturizer settle in I applied this sunscreen. It dried out my face and pilled really badly. I even moisturized my face, let it soak in, and applied more moisturizer and let that soak in and applied the sunscreen. It still pilled a lot. It did not work well for my dry skin.

I have a very oily face and am acne prone. I've been using this sunscreen for just under a year now and I can confidently say it's helped my breakouts lessen while keeping me protecting from the sun! ❤️ I love the rest of the Supergoop products but for my face, I can never go wrong with Mineral SheerScreen.

Fantastic product. Love it.

I know I have pretty sensitive skin and I was hoping this would be a good start in finding a sunscreen that didn't irritate my skin, but it definitely did. I used this and very light moisturizer and it burned

This is my favorite sunscreen. It's lightweight, doesn't make me look extra oily (as someone who has oily skin), and it doesn't make me break out! I found the unseen sunscreen had a weird film feeling/made me more oily, and the matte sunscreen has a weird texture. This one is my overall favorite! I also never got sunburnt on my face after weeks in Indonesia and Mexico!

I had been looking for a 100% mineral sunscreen that's not tinted, as most of them have a tint (to mask the white cast left by zinc oxide) and when I use it on my neck it stains my shirt collars. This one is 100% mineral, not tinted, and leaves no white cast. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it is not sweatproof .
Lena from Houston, TX
Great sunscreen that is lightweight and gentle on skin.
Hard on my wallet, but totally worth it :')

not a good primer at all- separated my makeup after just an hour! maybe ok as a sunscreen by its own

I'm extremely fair so I can't honestly say I saw a white, but I love mineral sunscreens because they don't burn my eyes. it was great to test it out but I do have to say that I prefer the live tinted sunscreen
Meg from Florida
I have medium warm toned skin and this is not sheer on me at all which is expected with a zinc sunscreen buuut I have love for the fact that it's the only spf that I can get to stay on my nose
Andrew M. from Undisclosed
Out of all I've tried this one rubs in perfect!
Isis from Undisclosed
I have darker skin, this stuff is it, little to no white cast and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Only qualm is that the largest size is 1.5 oz…I use that in a month. Please make this twice as big at least!
Teresa P. from Undisclosed
I would have like to given this sunscreen 5 stars but I wished it had a higher SPF and one more + for PA. No white cast for my medium tone Asian skin. It is a moisturizing sunscreen which I love. I definitely recommend this product.
