I genetically have dry skin add in winter, the dry heat in my home & medication I take it adds up to extremely dry skin that can get itchy. Plus with aging & some of us post menopausal have more dryness to our skin. This body butter is rich in earth & ocean essences to deliver powerful skin solutions. It really addresses the signs of aging when it comes to the skin of the body. Leaving it soft smooth & healthy looking. Some of the key ingredients are Nutrient rich undaria seaweed, antioxidants, whipped Shea butter, ceramides, cannabis sativa seed oil,grape seed oil, rosemary extract, sunflower extract,citrus oil peel oil. There is not a strong scent just a natural scent I can smell notes of citrus & extracts but it doesn't last. Although I wouldn't mind at all. After a shower & toweling off starting at feet and apply OSEA body butter from toes all the way up to shoulders. Paying real close attention to rough areas like elbows/knees,etc. The body butter just melts right into my skin adding moisture but most of all hydration. My skin feels & looks so good. This product is Clean, Vegan, Cruelty-free & Gluten. The OSEA company has been a family owned & operated since 1996 based in California. I really like this Body Butter & my skin definitely likes alot.Most Helpful Critical ReviewI was surprisedI am still reeling. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this brand! Body balm, got it. Body oil, got it. Facial cleanser, got it. Eye cream, got it. And I love them. So when a body butter came along I jumped right on it even with the hefty-Ish price tag. It smells like lemon meringue and flowers in a light and clean kind of way. I immediately fell in love with the scent. And that's where the love stopped unfortunately. I noticed it was very thick and kind of pasty. It doesn't melt down in your hands at all. Then when you try to run it in… it doesn't happen easily. You really have to work at it and it takes a while. Then I noticed these little tiny "beads" and I thought maybe I had something on my skin but I used it straight from the shower. So after 3 tries I finally saw one of the "beads" in the product in the tub it comes in. If this was meant to be there they should have said something about it. I am truly disappointed in this and saddened because I really love this line, it was so expensive and it smells so good but I can't use it unless I want to really put some work in. This body cream is rich and has a luxurious feel, and it smells great, but it made me breakout in the tiniest little blister-like lumps every time I would use it, even if only once. Apparently, there is an ingredient I am allergic to. That isn't OSEA's fault, nor the reason why I am deducting two stars. I am giving only 3 stars because of the packaging for all three items that I bought - this body cream, the Anti-Aging Body Balm, and the Ocean Eye Age Defying Serum - are all broken. The screw tops for both the body balm and the eye serum both wont screw on and off properly, because they are metal and aren't machined properly to be round and fit the glass correctly, and the pump for the body balm works once or twice, then will not pump any more product. You have to unscrew the plastic top (this one is working, because it is not metal and made correctly) and take the pump out and put it back in. The product is too dense to work with a pump, and is so thick that if you want to get it out of the glass jar without using the pump, you have to shake it vigorously to get even the smallest amount out. I will review this product separately, because that is exactly how it acts on the skin! It always left my skin silky and soft without leaving a greasy texture, but I think they've changed the formula. The last jar that I purchased leaves my skin very greasy. I also find a few small white grains every time I apply it - like finding random bits of sand. I was really happy I had found a moisturizer that left my skin feeling so healthy, but now don't plan on buying more.
