I am someone who prefers less makeup, and using Rise under my eyes and around my mouth (my primary hyperpigmentation areas) and covering with small amounts of concealer creates that clean natural look that I love. I was skeptical at first about whether I really needed to add an extra product to my makeup routine (I am all about sticking to just the essentials) but Rise as a color corrector has actually become a staple in my routine because it prevents that ashy look that can result from concealer on bare skin. I am also someone who does not like to spend too much on makeup products (I have literally never spent more than $40 on a makeup item), but I think this product is well worth the money and will last you a long time. I have tried Rise as a lipstick and it felt a bit dry to me and the color faded away pretty quickly, so for me the primary use of Rise is as a color corrector. Also at some point I must have applied too much pressure while using it because part of it broke off, it ended up not being a problem though because I could just stick it back on and now I gently use my finger to apply the product onto my face. Overall highly highly recommend as a color corrector for hyperpigmentation! And would recommend DM'ing Live Tinted to get a personal recommendation of which color corrector shade would be best for you.Most Helpful Critical ReviewDisappointing shade range/undertones/descriptionsI'm a person of color with a medium skin tone and very deep hereditary dark circles and undereye hollowness. I got the shade Perk, which is described as a peachy pink and is the lightest shade available. I was really looking forward to the convenience of a corrector in a stick form. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed as the shade Perk is straight up orange! Not at all a peachy pink! An orange color corrector works for tan skin tones but is a bit too dark for the medium range. I did, however, like the consistency and the format. It's wonderful that this brand has so many corrector options for deeper skin tones. Other brands need to take note! Live Tinted does not NEED to cater to light and medium skin tones since so many options are already available for that range, but please at least describe the shades more accurately! Someone of my complexion needs a salmony shade to correct darkness. A perfect blend of orange and pink tones, which I thought "peachy pink" would deliver. Unfortunately, it did not offer what I needed. I will still try to use it, but I will definitely need a concealer with good coverage to cover up the orange. This is not a color corrector I could wear on its own. For reference, the corrector that works best for me is Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Vanish in Medium. I can wear it on its own with no concealer when I apply it to the dark areas. It's more expensive but it's worth it. It doesnt crease or cake. My issue is the container. I'm not one to twist up the product very far but still, after only using this for a few weeks, the crayon part always falls out. Maybe it's my coloring but it's very orange (and not flattering) on me. Also, the product was pushed all the way up and smashed inside the top and actually fell off when I opened it. I just put it back in place. Probably won't get much use due to the color.
