I bought this because I gave my moroccanoil st8ner to my mom (which by the way snags hair) n all I have is the wet2st8 iron which is terrible for your hair. my hair smells fried when I use it. I saw this had majority great reviews compared to every single str8ner ulta has to offer. there was 1 that compared to this eva but its out of stock. with this str8ner I noticed my hair is shinier but I did notice I have to pass over it a few times which I wasn't a fan of. I don't like using heat tools on the highest temp but with this particular tool I had to. I started off at 400 which is a healthy temp for the hair. didn't do much so I went to 430 had to pass a few times went to 450 only had to pass twice. To reference I have curly 3b,3c hair which I blow out in sections then flat iron in sections. i don't straighten my hair a lot maybe a few times during fall and winter. I don't know if this is a keeper just yet but I have to say the packaging is super cute and I just purchased the blow dryer which also has good reviews. I'm hoping the duo works great together. oh BTW it doesn't snag your hair if you do it in proper sections and it doesn't leave your hair smelling fried.
I bough this flat iron because I know the brand. I expected it to work better than my $20 Revlon straightener. But I've been having the same issues as other users reviews. I have naturally fine hair but also have very long thick extensions. Even on the highest setting the straightener is not hot enough. It barely seems to change from one setting to the next. I'm left having to go over the same strand multiple times to get it anywhere near straight, with some pieces not straightening all the way. Flat ironing my hair typically takes 10-15 minutes but with this straightener it easily took 30 minutes to get bad results overall. I would recommend going for a more reputable brand with better reviews. This one needs to be trashed.

It seems like a decent price but remember you pay cheap, you get cheap. This flat iron worked fairly well for the first 2 months, then it slowly started to have electrical issues. Constantly turning off while in use, the beep sound goes off really loud and continuously and lights flash until unplugged. 0/10 would not recommend

So far it works so well that my hair no longer frizzes like it used to with my last straightener. It is smooth, heats fast, and doesn't break my hair. Would recommend it and happy I was lucky to get it in sale.

It took many times to go over to make hair straight.

I love my new hair iron! It's been a dream so far.

It was an excellent straightener, I used it all the time, but it died on me randomly one day. I've seen other people have the same issues, so if you want a long-lasting straighter, this one isn't. Other than that, I loved it a lot.

Even on the highest setting you have to pass through several times for it to kinda work. Spend $10 more get the Babyliss HUGE diff lol

So I have been struggling with thinning/shedding hair for awhile now, (super depressing but that's a whole other story). Anyway, I picked up this straightener because my old one broke and I wanted to buy something in the 50-60$ price range. This straightener is perfect for very thin fragile hair. It doesn't get too hot, but it gets the job done, it glides through my hair easily and most importantly, it doesn't rip my hair out. I think if you have thick or unruly hair (I'm jealous btw), then this is not the tool for you. Buy if you are like me and looking for something a little more gentle, this is a good one.

Needed a straightener that wasnt cheap or expensive since I don't use them very often and I love this one

I'm not one to usually leave a review, but I'm so upset with myself for not listening to the ones who reviewed and said it stopped working correctly after so long. Well I've had mine for about 5 months and I can't get it to stay on or hold heat. It seems when I move the cord, it shuts off. I did love the product at first, but I definitely should have listened to the reviews.

I love this flat iron! It works so well and the heat adjustments are super helpful. I've tried using it on my hair when it's still sort of damp and it works great! I would highly recommend this product!

So I have thin/frizzy hair yet I have to set the straightener to it's max heating setting for it to straighten my hair. (Something I never had to do before with other straighteners). This straightener is NOT for thick, coarse or curly hair imo. If it does an ok job for my thin hair, I can't imagine it doing anything at all for heavier hair.

I looove this straightener. It heats up so fast & i love that you can change the heat settings. The pink is really cute and it straightens so well. I only have to go over each piece once! It also curls really nicely and evenly with minimal kinks (so long as you keep steady movement!) Love this.
This styler works relatively well, my main issue is the length of the iron is shorter than a standard styler and it makes it hard styling larger chunks of hair and there isn't a closure so it stays open which I'm not sure is functional for storage.
My hair is super thick and wavy and this gets it straight and frizz free way better than my older straightener!
The light pink color is so pretty and the sleek look of the straightener is well designed...my hair comes out smooth.
Really pretty flat iron and doesn't pull out your hair like some other cheaper versions can. I am still working to find the heat/technique that works best for my hair but overall I'm really happy with this purchase. Seems like a great quality product that will last a while.
Bought this for my Mom on Mother's Day and she loved it so much! Affordable and curls, waves and straightens... what more could you ask for? My grandma later asked for one too after seeing my Mom's. So I bought her one too! They love the Pretty lavender color.
Heats up and straightens quickly! Left with a silky smooth and frizz-free look that lasts all day
Straightens my thick, wavy hair and leaves it silky and frizz-free. Never going back to my old straightener, i'm obssessed with eva nyc now!
I have previously owned another Eva NYC flat iron, and loved it! After many years of use, it died. I decided to purchase this one, thinking it would be just as great, if not better, and I was wrong. I have fine hair and I have to turn the heat all the way up to get it hot enough to use. I have to run it over my hair in small sections several times just to get it straight. I have been using it for several months, and continue to find it to be a disappointment. At this point I can't return it, but I wanted to give it a chance so badly. I give 2 stars since the packaging was fun and the color is pretty.
So looking at the review images you can't tell if it's more of a dusty pink or lavender, but when you receive the product it IS lavender! Color is true to description
This flat iron is so WORTH IT! It heats up quick, and it doesn't tug. It is so SMOOTH while straightening my hair! I would definitely recommending spending the extra money to get this particular flat iron. One more thing that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE about EVA-NYC flat irons. DUAL VOLTAGE. I only had to buy an adapter, and not a converter while traveling to different countries. I am so happy I don't have to spend the extra money or worry about that while I travel. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS FEATURE, EVA-NYC!
