I had not thought about a hair styling tool that does it all, not until now that is! I love that I am able to dry and style all at the same time instead of using a traditional hair dryer followed by a styling hot brush. This certainly saves me a lot of time. The instructions are easy to follow and the product is easy to use. It is lightweight and has four different heat settings. I always use lower heat settings in the summer due to heat and humidity issues, and so this flexibility is essential for me. In addition, less heat means less damage. I am impressed at just how much volume is achieved by using this tool. My hair is wavy but thin in places and invariably needs some assistance. I have noticed how much shinier it is now too. The fact that the brush itself can be detached is a boon because I travel a lot and it is easier to pack. The downside as far as travel is concerned is that the product is not dual voltage and you cannot use a travel adapter with it either. However, it is hard not to appreciate all the pluses that this tool offers, and I will never go back to individual appliances. What's not to like?!
The original Revlon one step styler was perfect in every way except that it gets VERY hot. I was so excited to try the "upgraded" version that had more heat settings. Unfortunately, the additional heat settings aren't the only major change. I don't care about the detachable brush head one way or another. But the brush head is smaller and doesn't give as much volume. My biggest complaint, however, is that the barrel is a different material. The old one is very smooth plastic and my hair glides through it easily. The new one has (I believe) a ceramic barrel - which should be an improvement, but it tugs and pulls at my hair so I can't maneuver it as smoothly and easily. Between the smaller barrel and different material, it takes me much longer to dry my hair, and it tends to come out frizzy. I end up having to use a flat iron after drying it. It also doesn't do anything to revive second day hair like the original. I seriously regret keeping it past the return date. I've gone back to the old one, which gives me a perfect blowout in 10 minutes with NO flat iron needed. Yes, it does get hot, but I use a good heat protectant and haven't any issues with damage. I feel like the new one did more damage with the way it yanks and snags my hair. It's now the backup I keep in my work bag. Don't waste your money. Buy the original.

I was hoping to like this. You can even switch out attachments. But you can't adjust the temp. Used only two times and it dried my hair out. I had to cut off what was dried out from the excessive temp of the dryer.

broke after a few uses I much prefer the first one

This blow dryer works on all natural hair. My hair type is a 3C and wow I'm blown away. It took me only one hour to blow dry my entire head. Works like a charm. Adds Luster and extra body to my natural hair. Go ahead & purchase.

I love this thing. I've been using it a few months. I used my regular blow dryer once last week and my hair was frizzy and awful. This thing makes my hair look perfect with no iron needed. My hair can sometimes be "blow and go" in the winter but never in the summer - that changed when I got this. I'm not even that talented with hair but this makes it so easy.

I use this before I get braids and it does the detangle job! It gets really hot though.

I love this because it gives me a blowout look without being too curly. Dries hair super fast and my hair is soooo soft and shiny after using. I wish they made more attachments for it.

I bought the first one that Revlon marketed. It was even bigger and simply straightened my hair. Then they began to market this smaller 2", but it is still too large in diameter. It quickly dries, straightens, and makes my hair shine wonderfully. But it's still too fat to shape my hair into a curve or a flip. It makes it straight and flat, and my hair is below my shoulders.

Easy, fast and convenient. Can detach head for traveling.

Bought this during the 21 Days of Beauty, and loved the way it gave my hair a sleek blowout look. Unfortunately it broke during the 5th time I used it. Had to return!

This dried my hair quicker than a traditional brush and hairdryer but I found my hair dull and no shine. I did use a leave in straightening conditioner. I think maybe a heat protectant will help prevent the dullness? I'll give it another try.

Revlon did something right here! I have curly (type 3B), extra long hair & this finished drying my hair in 15 minutes! Now my hair was about 60-70% dry & mostly damp, but the fact that it did what I needed so quick has me! Mind you, it doesn't "straighten" but it stretched my hair enough for my straightener. I only gave it 4 stars because I'm worried about the boar bristles. I hope it will last me but in the first use they seemed to have "opened". Great heat temperature options & very comfortable to hold!

My 1.0 broke after 3 years and i decided to try the 2.0 assuming there were improvements. This one doesn't get as hot but it does not get hot enough. My hair is thin and with the 1.0 it was always smooth and pretty straight. The 2.0 takes a lot longer to dry and made my hair really frizzy and not very striaght. The bristles are also placed differently and it can be a little tough to go through the hair. The 1.0 really helped my hair grow and not break and i felt like the tugging with the 2.0 might be damaging. The only thing i wish the original had is the detachable head.

I bought one a while ago.. I dont know how many times I used this and loved my curtain bangs… until I barely didnt have curtain bangs ans just fly aways. no, I dont use it as a hair dryer and no, I don't leave it on my hair like a curling iron. yes, I use heat protection. rollers and curling iron do just fine and no long seeing breakage or just a wild amount of hair in the brush itself. if you're trying to keep your hair healthy or grow it out, this product is not for you.

I was absolutely in love with this item until it broke after only using it 4 times! It worked really well on my hair just disappointing that i didn't last. I spoke to Customer Service and they said I can exchange it since it's still within the 60 day limit.

Let me begin by saying my old revlon Styling blow dryer brush is a few years old now, so it was time to get an upgrade . I spent forever in the store looking at all the new ones they had from different brands and I decided that I will stick with good old Revlon. Well I'm really glad I did because let me tell you this blow dryer brush is even better than the original. It's nowhere near as noisy. The medium setting is full power instead of half power like the old brush and it glides through the hair and adds so much shine. I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone.

Used for a few months hair dried nicely shiny smooth until someone posted a pic of me online and I saw how thin my hair had gotten. Then I realized how dry it had become. Coming out in clumps around the brush.

OMG I LOVE this brush!! It truly is the most amazing dryer. It makes my hair shiny even when I want to do a dry touch to it. I will never use another hairdryer - THIS IS MY GO TO FOR ALL TIMES!!! This is a MUST BUY!!!!!

I bought this to help give my hair more shine and sleekness. The first use it did great, took a little while to dry my hair but the end result was good! Second use, it broke after maybe 10 minutes… had to return. Will look for another hair drying brush.

Used about twice a week for 4 months and then the brush cracked off at the barrel and it could no longer be used. I do not have thick or long hair so I was surprised when the brush fell off. Loved the way it dried and styled my hair but for the price not happy with with quality, especially for the price.
