(before and after) I have tried everything under the sun, high end expensive toners and lower end toners, lots of different brands. There's only one other I've found that I've used for years but I now have a second option and am thrilled ! My hairdresser told me I need more of a blue toner because have more orangey yellow gold colors that start coming out ( vs only yellow), she was right no purple toners work on my hair but the blue pureology Top Coat worked great to clean it up. It's a medium blue might have some purple tint to it , I left it on 8 -9 min, rinsed, hair was slightly soft but then used my pureology strength cure mask, left that in a few min and rinsed. Fragrance to me was not too heavy, soft floral ( not old lady floral, smelled good to me), doesn't stick around after you rinse it out. Gloss worked ok, I have damaged hair as you can see but did give a bit of shine, not a ton. Did not weigh down my fine hair . My hair after drying is very soft feels good . I did spray Ouai leave in conditioner on before blow drying. I've tried the Pureology strength cure blonde purple shampoo & conditioner but they did nothing to tone my hair probably due to the orangey/golden tones I get vs yellow but I keep using it just as a good shampoo & conditioner but doesn't help me with my brassiness. The top coat has a similar scent. Next day hair was still soft and slightly shiny. This top coat did well for me. Very happy will buy again.Most Helpful Critical ReviewDidn't notice a differenceI have salon colored dark blonde hair, and was a little hesitant to use this as I wasn't sure how it would affect my hair. But I went ahead and tried it, knowing I had an upcoming appointment. I received complementary products of the @Pureology Hydrate shampoo, this toner and the multi-tasking leave in spray from @influenster in exchange for my honest opinion. So I tried all three. First the shampoo wasn't my favorite. I am not a fan of anything with a lavender scent, and this shampoo was all lavender. It lathers REALLY well and did a good job making my hair feel clean. I was just not a fan of the scent. Next I tried the toner. The directions say to use it in a zig zag pattern on your hair, but that's hard to do on your own head. So it basically just ended up all over my hair. Not sure if this made a difference in the end results or not. After using the toner, it says there is no need for a conditioner as the leave-in spray acts as one. I have very coarse and wavy hair and have never not used conditioner. But I followed the directions and just used the spray. The spray was actually my favorite. It smells really good, and my hair no longer smelled like lavender, so I was thrilled. lol I would highly recommend the spray, as it is a great product that left my hair soft and smooth. I would gladly purchase the spray in the future.
