Even plucking and waxing , which are unpleasant to do in the first place, are short lived remedies. That is why I love this ConairMan MetalCraft High-Performance Ear & Nose Trimmer. It quickly and efficiently removes unwanted hairs without pain because it has a 360 degree rotary cutting system with 3-beveled blades that do not snatch hairs nor pull. You can actually hear the clipping so you know how well it is working. I also used it on my ears and you could hear it removing the finer hairs that are not so easily visible to the eye. It is made of solid and durable metal housing, not plastic, so it is designed to hold up well for a long time. And you do not have to be precise, this trimmer takes all of the guesswork out for you. Just run it randomly around each nostril and ear, and it does all the work for you. The compact durable design with the included blade cover means I can keep it nearby on my desk or vanity for a quick daily touch-up before going out without the necessary torture. Packaging and material quality is not super fancy. It works fine for ear and nose. It would be better if it had a rechargeable battery with a charger since using a replaceable AAA battery seems old school. But what caught my eye was that the Conair had a different type of cutter tip- one that I immediately recognized as being effective. Once it arrived, I found it to be far superior to all the other nose and hair trimmers. The unique cutting head ensures that all hairs get cut - whether to the rear of the nose, or to the front of it. Same with the ears. Furthermore, it's constructed far better (and heavier) than the others I've tried (3 of which cost 2x to 3x the price of the Conair). As a result, the Conair is the one trimmer that I reach for ear and nose trimming because of its superiority. Now I realize that reviews are subjective, but I'm not exaggerating when I claim that I've tried well over a dozen different trimmer models from various brands (some well known). When I was offered this trimmer I was thrilled. The unit is easy to hold and handle, and the sound is about what you'd expect. It feels funny at first and may even pull on your hair. This can hurt sometimes, but once you're used to it, it doesn't feel like much. The trimmer works pretty well. I would recommend it to others and find that it does the job. Like most of you men over age 40 I started noticing hair loss where I did not want it and hair growth where I especially did not want it...nostril hair. I used wide blade tweezers hoping that pulling the hairs from the roots would work. It was a painful failure. I bought a small metal device that one had to twist back and forth to engage the blades. This was okay. Then I found this trimmer and decided to give it a try. It comes with a nose cone and an ear trimmer blade. It is battery operated. It is inserted in the nostril and trims hair at the base (plucking is a losing and painful proposition). It clears everything. This is based on the wide, 360 degree, tri-level cut head. The head cuts from all angles, not just cutting at the tip, where with my current trimmer, you have turn it upside down and rotate it and twist it to try to trim the same areas. It seems to be more powerful than my current trimmer with a fresh battery. Whether it's ear or nose hairs, It really gets the job done. it is an easy to handle size made with metal, not plastic. It has a twist on / off cap at the bottom that is also the battery cover. It takes one AA battery to run it, that's not included. It would be nice if it was rechargeable. The trimmer also has a head cap as well which keeps the head clean between uses. I did not have any pulling or skin nicks. It did a great job by comparison to the WAY more expensive one I already have. It is also very easy to clean. It would be nice if it had replaceable heads, but it doesn't. However, It does come with a two year parts and labor warranty. It doesn't seem to pull my nose hairs and really gets the job done. It also seems easier to clean when I am done. For whatever reason, with other trimmers, I would have pulled hairs and the inside of my nose would end up sore. I'm really happy with this trimmer.
