I actively see my dentist for regular cleanings and I am very active in caring for my dental health. The Interplak by Conair water jet took me some time to adjust to, but once I got accustomed to using it, it became a regular part of my teeth cleaning routine. I highly suggest you read the instruction manual prior to use; I found it very informative and helpful in ensuring I was using it correctly and storing it correctly after use. For the first few weeks I needed to use the "soft" setting because it is a very powerful device and I needed time to get used to it. I use this device at night after I brush my teeth because it does an excellent job of cleaning out all the food stuck between my teeth and in my gum line from the course of the day. I have also come to enjoy the water vibration on my gums; it feels like my mouth/gums are getting a massage. I go to sleep with the confidence that my mouth is clean, and I have also noticed that when I wake up the next morning, I no longer have "morning breath." I also noticed that my gums looks pink and healthy and I have little to no bleeding when I brush my teeth. So I love the idea of a water flosser and the unique design and look of the water flosser. I like the fact that it's compact and portable and has several different sizing heads. The use of this flosser however is okay, it's hard to use and it seems like I send more time cleaning up the water mess than anything else. The water flosser seems to make my teeth sensitive. I tried it as soon as I Got it and right away I loved the outcome. I had a tooth ache for a few days prior to receiving this device and it was very annoying so I thought maybe. I have food stuck in there that I wasn't able to get out by flossing or brushing so I tried right away and sure enough I had food particles that came out.
