I've gotten countless compliments on what all of my friends know as my "signature scent," as it's the only scented product I use. (Most other products give me a migraine and don't smell anywhere near as good.) I've recommended the Satsuma line to many people who have also become loyal customers. The new Satsuma body butter and body spray that I received in my last order are terrible. The smooth, silky texture of the body butter is gone and the scent is completely different. The wonderful smell of freshly peeled Satsuma oranges is GONE. (The same is true for the scent in the body spray. It's nothing like it was, and the new scent—whatever it is—doesn't last even an hour.) I'm completely disappointed and devastated. The new body butter has a gritty texture and a chemical smell. It's horrible. Reading through the other reviews, it seems I'm not alone in my opinion of the new formula. In fact, almost all of the reviews are entirely negative. I'm hoping and praying that The Body Shop will re-evaluate this new formula and return to the old one. After all, why mess with a great thing? I cannot imagine that many people will be return customers after trying the new formula. If you haven't already tried the new Satsuma formula and were a fan of the old one, don't waste your money. You will be in extremely disappointed. I will be hoping beyond hope that this company will bring back the original Satsuma formula, but until that happens, I will be looking for a new product line. I will really miss the original Satsuma line of products.
