I have never been able to use a claw clip because my hair is so fine that it will fall right out of the barrel of the clip. Because this clip has a pretty minimal barrel but very dense teeth, it actually holds my hair so well! I can see how this may not be ideal for long, thick hair, but it is PERFECT for those of us whose hair typically falls right out of other clips.Most Helpful Critical ReviewAlmost perfect.I was hopeful for this clip. I'll start by saying is so cute, stylish and love the low impact it has. It's not this huge block sticking out of the back of your head. Love that it sits so close to the hair. Only problem is it's not for long AND thick hair. So I really struggle to open it wide enough and get it close enough to the head so it catches and secures. I can get it to work after some effort but it's not easy.
