Especially for the price…I've had much more expensive shadows that didn't perform this well. Now, There definitely is some fallout/kickback, and I find they do best with a lid primer, but they wear all day without creasing on my middle aged eyes. The mattes are well-pigmented, even the lightest shades, and the shimmers are so pretty. Perfect size to travel with too! I've purchased this one and the Taupe one and like them enough to go back for the green!Most Helpful Critical ReviewYuckSo I ordered this for pickup and it came w/ out the protective plastic film that's supposed to come on this line of shadows covering them up for hygiene cuz there's nothing else in place to do so; no box or tape keeping the palette shut, etc. And I know there's supposed to be a film there cuz I've ordered other ones from this same set of monochromatic shadows from Essence. So basically this was in the store just getting searched by people and they sold it to me like that. Nasty. Besides that it was all pretty mediocre. But, I can't complain for the price.Loved the colors4blondhrsecrzy from WA stateI had to try this pallette out due to the low price and I was kinda disappointed when I got my package because over half the shadows was broken up. But I've decided to keep & try them because they were such cute, soft muted colors. I really like the purple shades because I'm stuck in rut of brown shadows so definitely was a fun change without being over dramatic. Colors went on smoothly & evenly. I used a slightly damp shadow brush to utilize the broken shades & it was perfect . The colors lasted my entire 9 hour work shift too.
