After using TF Shadow Insurance since 2005, I was disappointed in their recent formula update, switch from a tube to a doe-foot wand applicator, and worst yet, major shrink-flation with half the product amount at twice the former price. On my hunt for a new eye primer, my goal was to find a clean product that is specifically talc-free and in a squeeze tube. This eye primer exceeds my expectations because it goes on smooth and creamy with slight coverage using only a tiny amount. I've come to really enjoy using it UNDER my eyes too for a no-makeup look instead of concealer. The first time I used too much product and my shadow creased but I have now figured out how little product is needed; just tiny pea sized amount spread over six dots - two dots under each eye and one dot on each eyelid. I hope this product sticks around and can be my holy grail for decades to come!
I wanted to like this but it just did not work for me. I tend to have oily eyelids and right away I was nervous about the consistency when I started to apply this. I prefer when my eyelids feel more smooth and matte when I apply primer. I put it on and then my eyeshadow before going to dinner and a show and when I got home, I had horrible dark creases in my eyelids from where the eyeshadow had clumped together. I do find it works well to prime my lids before applying my liquid eyeliner but does NOT work for eyeshadow. I will continue my search for a good eyelid primer.

Didn't stand a chance against my oily eyelids. Still crease no matter how much or how little I use. It's like using nothing basically

This makes my eyeliner come off into my eye crease and doesn't keep shadow on either. I was using bare minerals primer before but they no longer had it available. This was not a good substitute!

applies very nicely it's has a tint to it, so it's a all in one concealer & primer. helped my glitter shadow last longer so that's a plus.

It works pretty well but only for the first 2 hours or so. I wouldn't consider my eyelids super oily but no matter what eyeshadow I use it doesn't prevent creasing. would not repurchase or recommend to anyone that doesn't have dry eyelids

Really love this PYT Baby Got Base eyeshadow primer! Great consistency. Works just as good, & in some cases better, than other high end primers I've bought. It cancels out any darkness on my eyelid and it seems to me that it has a brightening affect as well. I'd definitely recommend & will be repurchasing!

This creases, even after being set. This was a waste of money.

Advertised as hypoallergenic, but isn't. Have used three times (with 3 different eyeshadow brands that I use religiously and without allergic reaction). After each use of this primer, my eyes watered and stung, and my eyelids puffed and itched. Going back to good old Ulta primer.

I got this primer mostly because its clean and cruelty free but it just does not hold up. Within an hour my lids are already creased and my shadow looks smudged and runny. I had high expectations but it didn't work for me.

I was hopeful that this would work for my very oily lids, but unfortunately, it did not. Initially, it went on nicely, and when I blended my shadows, they seemed to glide easily. Just a few hours later, though, my shadow was very faded and by the end of the day, creased and gross. Might be good for those with dry lids, but not for me, sadly.

I have oily deepest eye lids. I had high hopes this would work but it didn't hold my eye shadow in place. I will still use it because of the good ingredients I will just have to reset my eyeshadow during the day.

As a deeper skin tone its difficult to come across eyeshadow pigments that rtruly pop. This eyeshadow primer is a great base because it makes all of the shades appear bolder and brighter.

Helps to avoid creasing, the color stays longer and it is easy to apply.

I bought this primer as soon as it came out. I love PYT Beauty products and was excited to see this for their shadows. What i love about it, is that i have really sensitive skin (eczema) and this made my eyelids so creamy without causing any irritation. It was also a great universal shade.

Such an easy to use & blendable eye primer! Makes shadows appear more pigmented, vibrant, & true to color.

TBH, I'm not usually a primer person, but this primer has completely changed my mind. The texture is amazing and more like a serum. It goes on clear, absorbs really easily and leaves it looking nice and dewy. Very impressed, and especially given the price point.

I use to use my concealer as a primer because I never found a good one that was clean. This primer works so well. Goes on smoothly and my eyeshadow looks great and lasts!
