I didn't want to use benzoyl peroxide because my clothes and bedding are too valuable to ruin at my age. This has been working well - and quickly, I might add. However, I have had it for about a week and had to discontinue daily use. It was too drying. Maybe I should've crawled before I walked and started slower. I'll try to slow my roll and add to daily use in the future if I need too. The reduction the new breakouts has been noticeable and what is there has gone down. Hopefully it takes down the scarring soon - I'm a lifer skinned Latina, so a bit of a concern there.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNice, but maybe not for sensitive skinI received this enzyme body wash as a First Access List winner. So, it wasn't a product I wanted or needed. PROS: great lather, visibly exfoliates, nice smell, great packaging CONS: not great for sensitive skin (but what enzyme anything is?) I usually use a really mild un-fragranced body wash so this was a big change for me. I would describe my skin (even body) as very sensitive. I used this enzyme body wash a few times (twice a week for two weeks) and I noticed that it sort of tingled in a worrisome way (not quite burning but close) when applied. The feeling didn't last long and it only happened in some places (my shins!). I ended up washing my body again each time with my regular body wash to make sure there were no residual enzymes. I would say my skin does look brighter overall and definitely better prepped for moisture. I will continue to use this, but only once a week, making sure to avoid sensitive areas. The packaging deserves its own note: the bottle "cap" rotates slightly to open a small hole in the top of the cap. It clicks shut. I can imagine that it would be secure in checked luggage and wouldn't spill during travel. Also, the bottle is that beautiful matte texture of all Boscia products that makes me cry every time I throw one into the recycling bin. In short, this is not a daily body wash. It does exfoliate nicely, but all of these reviews are from the Boscua website and conveniently leave out the downside. When you apply it, it lathers up nice and after about 30 seconds you feel the cooling/tingling sensation. I leave on for about 2 minutes then rinse. BUT. Here's the problem. This product smells HORRIBLE. Like pine sol and winded mixed together. That is not what I want from a body wash. There are absolutely no fruity or fresh smells coming from this.
