You don't need a lot of the treatment to see wonderful results. I use this leave-in treatment right after washing my hair. I use about a quarter size and was surprised how rich it is! Right away you can feel the softness in your hair. The most drastic result I saw from using this treatment is a reduction in frizz. These were the results that I was looking for and like the definition I see in my curls. I'd love to keep this treatment in my hair routine! I got this product for free in exchange for writing this review (lucky to try it)!Most Helpful Critical ReviewAVOID AT ALL COSTS!Let me start by saying I am not a Redken hater by any means. I use their All Soft S&C religiously. I went out of my way to purchase more of it because there was a promotion going on where I could get samples of the whole acidic bonding line after spending a certain amount. I was so excited to try this mostly because I had been wanting to purchase more Ol*plex but didn't want to spend the coins at that moment. I thought this might be a comparable alternative. GOOD LORD I wish I could go back in time and undo!!!! My hair is very long and WAS verrry healthy. I have mostly fine, wavy/curly hair that's probably medium density just to give you an idea. I tried this product line all in one night and was planning on doing it weekly. I started with the treatment and followed with the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in. Initially my hair felt fluffy (maybe even poofy) and soft. It seemed like it might be even retaining water better. I thought that was a good thing. Over the course of the week my hair became more and more unmanageable which was NOT a problem for me prior to using these products. My hair felt and feels soooooo dry and soooo tangled. It's almost like I bleached it all over again, which I swore I'd never do. I cannot get my curls to really set without proofing out and getting frizzy. I used to be able to make one wash and go last a few days. Now my curls will not even last a whole day. It's truly heart breaking because I've worked so so hard over the past few years to get my hair in a healthy place. I've sacrificed length and time and money. I know for a fact this acidic bonding line caused this damage cause it was the ONLY change I made to my hair care routine that was working very well for me. I couldn't recommend this product line any less. I'm sick that I didn't write this review sooner and was even sicker when I came to see it has 4.6 stars. I ended up splurging on the Ol*plex and while it helps a little my hair is still not the same. I'm going to cut off a few inches and see if that helps with the unmanageable tangles. All you need is a little bit after you wash and condition your hair use it before you blow dry your hair and your hair is silky. Soft with a beautiful shine. Even coarse dried out hair. This entire line of bonding products smells so bad its cheap and has a weird berry scent with a chemical stank that is so offputting. I was expecting a better smell for a salon grade product-reminds me more of a cheap V05 shampoo smell! As for the effectiveness I dont think it did anything. I saw reviews it makes peoples hair silky but that wasnt my case.
