I was trying to avoid the toxic nail polishes, glues, etc, so I figured I'd try these since they have adhesive tabs. My thoughts are that adhesive tabs, being "non-liquid", might penetrate the nail less and therefore be less toxic. (We all know that nail polish chemicals actually get into our bodies because nails are porous). Anyway, I applied these easily, then I used nail clippers to shape the nail exactly as I wanted, which was easy to do. The whole process was fun and took far less time than waiting for various coats of nail polish to dry. I love the color "Beyond The Pale" and let me tell you, it shines far more than is shown in the photo here. I don't know if Dashing Diva makes a metallic series, like chrome, silver, gold, platinum, etc, but I'd love those. Will have to look around and see. Also, I prefer all my nails to be the same color, with no accent nail (just my own personal preference), so I'm glad D.D. makes the solid sets. Thank you! Oh, and in addition to a metallic series, I'd love a holo series too.Most Helpful Critical ReviewTiny, even for small hands, and lengths unevenThese press on's are VERY small. Just to give you an idea, my wedding rings are a size 4 1/2- I have very small hands. However, none of the accent nails fit a ring finger or middle because they are all a 6 or smaller (7 or 8). I literally went through 4 sets of the eight I ordered and they are all like that. I settled on this one (pink passion) only because I gave up and put an accent on my pinky since they're so small. Just to give you an idea, with two other well known press on brands I wear a size 3 thumb, 7 pointer, 10 pinky etc. For these, I'm a full two sizes up (1, 5 and 8)!! As well, the thumbs are very short and I actually had to file down the pinkys and pointers quite a bit to match. Considering I frustratingly ended up having to pay duty and taxes (thus more than double their actual cost) since they don't ship to Canada and I had to use a middle man shipper, these are absolutely NOT worth it. In one set I opened up, two of the nails I'd have to use for my size were all melted at the tip and distorted. CHEAP and I will definitely not buy again. I will stick to my other two brands which are long lasting, well made and reliable. The only reason I took them off was because my nails were growing out and it was looking bad by my cuticles, not because the nails were peeling off. I am having a bit of an issue with a couple tips peeling. I did add a top coat and it helped some so I finally added a drop of glue to the tips that are peeling up. When applying, I do think they were more malleable than others used.
