I ordered the capsule kit of semi matte lipsticks for mother's day. After watching both videos available on the Mented site of the YouTube bloggers reviewing the products, I was certainly sold! Between the reviews on each product, to the actual application videos, there was no question that this is what my mom and I have been looking for. So far, it has been 4-5 days since opening/first using our Mented products and I will honestly say that neither one of us have picked up a different product since the initial use. Along with the semi-matte kit, I also purchased the Nude LaLa lip pencil, the bare brown lip pencil, as well as the summer gloss kit, and foundation brush. My mother, whom is SUPER PICKY about what's on her face, has ZERO complaints. When I say this is unheard of, girrrrllllll - NOT ONE! The brush doesn't leave bristles on her face which has been a consistent concern since her recent switch to liquid foundation. I ordered the Peach Please in semi matte - literally GAWWWWGEOUSSSS and it lasts!!!! I work in a dental office so sometimes I have to wear a face mask. I definitely thought I'd have nothing left on my lips since the color is so natural, but the actual lipstick is creamy and feels light. But when I took the mask off, that color was FLAWLESS HONEY! Honestly, the overall experience of Mented has been 5 stars HANDS DOWN. I truly never ever leave reviews, but great work should be acknowledged. What you all are doing is so important and from my mother and me, thank you for producing a true quality product that is inclusive, and uplifts women of all backgrounds.Most Helpful Critical ReviewPatchy colorI was so excited for these pretty colors but disappointing that it was not that pigmented as I like. I was expecting creamy smooth matte but you need to apply layers to achieve the full solid color. It felt drying on my lips and the color was very patchy hence layering on the application is needed. I think I read somewhere it was a vegan product but the packaging felt cheap for the price.
