I don't normally wear grey or charcoal colored eyeliner in general, regardless of the formula (liquid, gel, cream, powder, etc). However, I decided to indulge myself and give it a try. First, can I say that this eyeliner is so richly pigmented that the charcoal looks more like a soft black! As a black eyeliner gal (or I do 2 colors at once...black + whatever shade works with my eye look), that made my heart jump for joy. This eyeliner went on easier than most felt tipped liquid eyeliners tend to (*I am a huge fan of brush tipped eyeliners) and wore well all day without wearing away or flaking. Removal was easy, and there was zero irritation to my sensitive, contact lens wearer eyes. Results: I would definitely recommend this liquid eyeliner to anyone who likes felt tipped eyeliner applicators that dip into the little eyeliner well (versus the 1 piece pen style). I do use this style of liquid eyeliner about 50% of the time so I will definitely try additional shades in this line.Most Helpful Critical Reviewi'd finish the tube but i wouldn't buy it againI bought this liner as a replacement for my NYX matte liner since that was discontinued, and while this isn't the worst liner I've used, it's certainly not the best. I wear fairly dramatic winged eyeliner every day and this does not work for that (I could see how it might work for people who only barely line their lid, but for anything more dramatic, this isn't it). The pigment itself is sheer (not quite grey, but it almost looks watered down and I have to apply at least two-three coats to get a solid black wing), and the rigid brush(?) applicator makes it incredibly difficult to apply. The applicator does work pretty well to get a sharp edge on your wing, but it makes it impossible to line your lash line, fill in a wing, or line your inner corner. I've been wearing winged liner every day for at least three years now, so I'd say I'm pretty skilled at getting that perfect wing, but the issue with this is that even if you nail the shape on your first try (which is HARD because of the issues with the applicator that I mentioned above), you have to go over it a couple of times to get it opaque. The product also takes a pretty long time to dry, so if you look up or blink weird before it's set it'll transfer onto your lid. It did stay on pretty well (once it dried it didn't smear or blur, but it did flake a tiny bit after a couple of hours) when I wore it out for a full day (about 8 hours, some of those outside in the summer sun/heat/humidity), but removed very easily with a makeup wipe. Ultimately, I'd say if you wear very simple liner or are willing to leave it sheer/go over your wing a couple times, this is probably a pretty decent liner considering the price/how much product you get, as well as its staying power (minus the slightly flaking).Reviewed by 526 customersIt's worth it5haileyv49 from undisclosedIt drys to quickly and it is so durable to the skin. I will definitely start by saying it is not waterproof AT ALL. I can basically wipe it right off with a wet q-tip. I like to use it because it is affordable and I love the dip and brush. It's more of a felt tip that you can dip to pick up more liquid. I find this is the easiest type of eyeliner for me to use (my hands shake terribly). If I mess up, I can easily fix it. Past years, other eyeliners have arrived, all from subscription beauty boxes. Somewhere along the way, I forgot about this one. I try to store mostly in upright position, when possible, but a few minutes to settle does the same. Many liquid liners, IMO, that comes like a pen with comparable tip, won't provide same coverage, as you have no idea how much is left. If you store those in a drawer, it may take a bit for pigment to make it to the tip. CoverGirl's is good to go, within minutes, even if you have stored horizontally.
