However, I neglected using sunscreen on my face for decades, because the formulas were usually too heavy, caused breakouts, and irritated my eyes (especially waterproof sunscreens). Within the past 5 years I'd found a Korean brand of sunscreen that didn't cause me to breakout, but it still took a while to absorb and irritated my eyes. Amazingly, however, Black Girl Sunscreen is perfect. No eye irritation, no acne breakouts, layers well with my other skincare, and dries completely sheer into my light-brown skin. The best effect is that it leaves my skin feeling moisturized, not oily so I don't need to use a separate moisturizer underneath it. I though it was hormonal, but I researched and saw that this sunscreen had the potential to clog skin which it did to me. Also very greasy, my face looked very oily throughout the day. Recommend this sunscreen for people with dry skin. It doesn't leave a white cast and it feels great on my skin! Very moisturizing, but if you have combination or oily skin try the matte finish. This will give you a shine or glow but might be too much if you have oily skin.
