My hair is thick, porous and natural (meaning I don't dye it), so it can be unruly and is very vulnerable to humidity. This stuff adds structural integrity to my hair and makes it easier to style and take care of. It feels and looks full and strong, gets less tangles, doesn't kink as easily, stays straight on humid days… just overall looks and performs so much better. A hack I've discovered that works well for my hair type is to use my clarifying shampoo, then use this line of shampoo/conditioner the NEXT time I wash my hair, then use my regular shampoo/conditioner for the next 1-2 washes and start the cycle over. Something about using this repair line after clarifying makes it stick and work really well. However, I've noticed that if I use this line for multiple washes in a row, my hair gets weighed down and is almost too silky. I think you just have to know how much silicone your hair can handle and plan your washes accordingly. Ultimately that's all a repair hair product is, silicone. You're not repairing anything, you're simply coating your hair shafts temporarily to make them feel and look healthier.
