I have tried many concealers only to have them later dry out on my skin and not offer strong coverage. I am 38 with dry and very sensitive light to medium skin. My under eye area tends to be more purplish because my skin has pink undertones. I use NARS Radiant Concealer to spot treat my face and have been using it under my eye area but just didn't like how it performed under my eyes. (LOVE the NARS concealer on the rest of my face, though). I grabbed this in the Light Beige color (I held the tube up to my face in the Ulta store and picked the tube that blended in with my skin tone). I immediately applied it when I got to my car and instantly fell in love with the product. It went on creamy but quickly dried without drying out. I loved the initial look but knew the actual test would be how it looks at the end of the day. To my amazement, every time I checked the mirror throughout the day it still looked great! It didn't dry my skin out and it didn't settle into my smile crinkles underneath my eye. It seamlessly covered my dark circles snd evened out my skin tone. Have a very light hand so it looks natural. You can always build it up. I used a small dot under each eye and then added an even smaller dot after that. I see so many women adding a ton of this to their face and it covers their beautiful skin, so i always thought I'd have to use a ton of this to get results. They still look gorgeous but if you're comfortable with letting your skin shine through, just add a small dot to color correct. I don't wear full coverage face foundation but here's what works great for my dry and sensitive skin with rosacea: - moisturize really well and then add Elta Tinted Daily Sunscreen - Clinique Universal Primer (I apply this all the way up on my under eye area) - Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue over entire face (gives a pretty glow and keeps my skin moisturized all day and calmer underneath my mask) applied with the Clinique Foundation Buff Brush - Spot treat with NARS Radiant Concealer (1-2 dots on each cheek where there's some rosacea redness and one dot on my nose for that redness and then a tiny dot on any blemishes) - Dab a tiny amount of this TARTE Shape Tape Creamy Concealer under my eyes and blend with my ring finger - Bare Minerals Faux Tan Bronzer -Clinique or Bare Minerals Blush Get this product now! It's worth the money because it works and it will last a long time 💛
I have been in LOVE with the original Tarte Shape Tape Concealer for a while now and have been using it for years. Even while having to work during the pandemic, I left all of my other face makeup products except for the concealer and I would use it on a daily basis. In mid-December, I was heading over to my cousin's house for a fun all-girls weekend and was super low on the concealer. I headed out to Ulta late the night before to make sure to buy my concealer! Nearly close to closing, I walked over to the concealer section and looked for my shade (light medium). I look at the packaging and noticed that the title seemed a bit different...Hmm...I thought to myself...they re-formulated or changed the packaging... Either ways, it didn't even occur to me for me to even think that something was up because I have been in love with the original for so long and it works so beautifully. I looked and purchased my shade and left right before it closed that night. I used it the next day and late into the night at my cousin's house, my eyes started to itch... Maybe it's her cats I thought... The next day I woke up with swollen and reddened eyelids and pulled out my handy dandy concealer to conceal the darkened eyes... And that was the start of a traumatic three months... My eyes became puffy and deformed and reddened... And each time I didn't even think it was the concealer because to me, the concealer was the one product that I have been using for so long that there wasn't any way that it was the problem... Even throughout the months, I would stop eyeliner, curling my lashes, mascara, shadow, brows, etc. but I would put on the concealer thinking that at least my darkened eye lid concealers would be concealed... And it would get worse and it would flair up at different times and they would get different shapes, and swollen and red... I went to speak to nurses, doctors, and they would tell me to try hot compresses to help (which I did) and a prescription but it would get better but never go away... I had been going to work for over 8 years with makeup on and even though I was told to give them a break, I would just put a "little" concealer to cover up (with the medicine on the eyes) to help conceal... I would stop using makeup entirely, they would then get better, but as soon as I would try makeup again, they would flair up. First I thought it was my mascara (I threw it out and purchased a new one), then I thought it was my eyelash curler, and then finally, thank God, one night (after wearing the concealer in the day), my eyes flared up and my mom noticed that the redness was also on my forehead a bit on my cheeks (exactly where I apply the concealer) and then it hit me... I went and did research and I was like, this is a different one! With a totally new formula with different ingredients that I am probably allergic to one of them... I finally went on a two week long absolutely no makeup regime (the first time in over eight years!) and I am reintroducing back a different concealer pretty soon. I never thought that I would go sans makeup to work, but this experience had at least that positive effect! The silver lining :) I would absolutely NOT recommend this concealer to any person...

Considering the price point, I was not impressed with this product. Goes on thick then separates and despite several tries, I wasn't unable to get a good color match. Will use what I have but definitely not repurchase.

I've tried many concealers but the Tarte Shape Tape is truly the one for me. It's light & creamy, gives great coverage and doesn't stay in my fine lines. One application and I'm good for the day.

I asked for assistance in choosing a shade and the young lady who helped was extremely knowledgeable and she picked the perfect shade for me. Love it!

This is one of two reviews I've done for products purchased at Ulta — I really love it! My skin is starting to age and I have chronic dry skin, dark circles, and folliculitis. This was a Diamond Gift and I'm so glad I tried it! It really is a creamier formula and is working really well for me. A little goes a long way!

Great for aging skin, smooth and perfect coverage. I use it under eyes.

I used this for a couple days and noticed the coverage ia just not the same and it creases. The original shape tape never creased. Ill be exchanging the new formula for the old one.

It's an ok concealer but it's terrible for your skin. Has a LOT of perfume in it. Used it under my eyes and the yucky scent lingered all day. Who wants perfume on their face? I'm an esthetician; would never recommend this unless it was fragrance-free

I used the original as my holy grail for a long time. I was so excited to see that they had these other formulations because the original is too dry for me. The consistency of this and the colors looked great. I didn't notice until I got it home and tried to use it how crazy scented it is. I cannot understand why in the world face products have tons of perfume in it. This is especially true for something that goes right near your eyes. My eyes were watering and bothering me, which I'm assuming is from the perfume. Had to go back. Hope they reformulate without scent

I have sensitive skin and allergies to many products and fragrances. The tester didn't have the strong scent but the actual product out of the box did and 20 minutes later my eyes were watering.

Great coverage. Creamy formula that isn't caky. Pretty much uses a foundation. Wand helps place product in the right spots for blending. Scared to try other concealers because this so good.

Shape Tape ultra creamy is the best undereye concealer! It doesnt cake, crease or flake. The price scared me at first but after buying a sample size I am hooked. Nice creamy texture, perfect for aging skin.

Love this concealer! I really wanted to love the original Tarte shape tape concealer, but no matter how little I used, it always creased and looked cakey under my eyes. I'm SO GLAD they came out with this creamy formula! LOVE IT!!

The creamy shape tape is better than the original because it is creamy when you apply and blends well. However after a few hours of wear it becomes dry/drying, itchy and generally uncomfortable. I always want to keep trying it because I paid so much for this, but I really need to toss it beacause it always disappoints. My eyes always look and feel better without it. The only reason that I gave this 2 stars is becase I actually like the huge applicator.

I got this because although the original shape tape concealer has great coverage, it is way too drying under my eyes (and everywhere else when my skin was dry). I was so hopeful but you can tell as soon as you take the doe-foot out that it is a thinner product. Thinner doesn't necessarily mean less coverage but in this case, it does. It blends into oblivion and disappears with one layer. I want able to build it to anything more than light-ish coverage. It blends really nicely into my skin and it really was much better about not causing creases or cakiness, but what good is that if it doesn't cover anything??

This is an okay concealer. A little goes a long way but it still tends to look a little dry even with good skin prep. The main con is the it's sooooo messy. So much product wasted. I feel for the price this shouldn't be an issue.

I wanted something that wouldn't settle into my fine lines and wrinkles, this absolutely does the trick. It provides natural looking coverage without the heaviness of most other similar products. Definitely recommend this to any age for optimum results.

Purchased for the darkness under my eyes; it covers. It also makes my under eye area dry.

Lightweight full coverage. Love texture, easily blends great coverage alone, but is easily buildable for added coverage! 👍

I originally tried the travel size for a trip. I was so impressed that I bought the regular size. I love that it doesn't cake up. I first put on my eye moisturizer, then the concealer and set with a little powder. Does a great job of concealing my dark circles as well as other places on the face as needed. I am very impressed with Tarte products and really like that I can get travel sizes to try it out first.

I've tried many concealers, and this one by tart, specifically the creamy version, is by far the best. Doesn't look or feel thick or cakey, and it covers very well. I love that I don't need to use much, just a dot, and then a quick blend.
