They both have more defined cupid bows and more of a 'structured' lip shape than I do, if that makes sense, where as I have more of an overall rounded or smoothed out cupids bow. When I use the lip plumper, my lips plump outwards moreso rather than upwards and downwards, where as with my close friends it does plump upwards and downwards, so there's more of a noticeable visiual change with them than with me. It is very tingly/stingy, as if you ate a very spicy meal, but it's definitely bareable. It makes your lips extremely flushed, and I recommend making sure you don't let it touch the boarder of your lip and skin or else it will make your lips look swollen. I notice it does have a tendency to make my lips a bit dry after it wears off after a few hours, but thats very easily fixed with a basic lip balm. I will say while I may be imagining it, I have used this a few times in combination with collagen oil and hydrating lip products and it has given me a longer lasting/permanent plumping effect overall, despite not having dramatic results from the product, I have seen some results. This is the first lip plumper I've used so I have nothing to compare it to, but I have seen results and I haven't had adverse affects from this so overall this is a thumbs up in my book :) My friends really like it, I partial to it, and if I decided to get a lip plumper again I'd probably stick with this one.Most Helpful Critical ReviewUse with cautionIt definitely plumps and makes your lips a nice redish pink.... However both times I have used it my lips started peeling were very dry and felt chapped for days. I don't know if my lips are just sensitive I've used other lip plumper's and that has never happened to me. I had to use Aquaphor on my lips every night and morning for at least 3 days after using it. It's very creative and adds to the feel when using. The product itself is so good. Other plumpers I've tried left my lips with redness all over that looked like a bad reaction this didnt do that.
