I used this along with the matching conditioner and scalp treatment. The shampoo is a gel-like texture and consistency. The bottle has a twist opening. The product comes out easily and not much pressure is needed. I was expecting a thick shampoo and squeezed out too much my first time using this and the bottle is made in a way that the excess cannot be put back in, so be careful when dispensing. There is peppermint oil in the ingredients and the shampoo is lightly scented with it. It lathers well. There is a light tingle if you leave the shampoo in place and it quickly goes away before rinsing. After using this a few times my hair does not look like the after picture they show, but it also isn't professionally styled either and I think that makes the results look more dramatic. At first I didn't think there was really much difference at all because I was comparing volume, but when looking at my scalp I noticed it was less visible than usual. I have thin and thinning hair so this has been an improvement. I will continue to use this set to see if there are longer term results.Most Helpful Critical ReviewWarning Hair Falls Out!i was so excited t try this as i am 52 and experiencing thinning hair due to hormonal changes -- it was fine for about 2 weeks then the 3rd week my hair was coming out after i combed thru it !! i did read reviews on other sites about women experiencing this as well. a website called 'ewg skin deep' evaluated the ingredients in this product an their toxicity levels were a cause for concern -- endocrine disruption! along with high allergy and irritation to the scalp! no wonder my hair was falling out! i am now using Revita from DB Labs to fix the damage! my scalp is so dry from this garbage product and i never had issues ever in my life with my hair! thanks alot Alterna!
