I must say that I was unsure where to start because I am used to using a flat iron to curl. It got hot very quickly and includes multiple settings for heat for different types of hair. I would probably not have purchased the 1/2 inch with my long and very curly hair but I was surprised at how quickly the small spiral curls set. There is definitely a little learning curve to using the small spiral and not burning yourself (which I did twice!!). One thing I suggest is that they need a heat Protection glove/gloves for this product. The titanium is stronger than ceramic and this curls thick, coarse & long hair better. My ceramic wand did not curl my hair for 2-3 days. That's right. The BaByliss PRO curls lasted for more than two days. The curls were beautiful and no damage to my hair. I'm sold.
