I finally got to try it today and I am seriously impressed! I compared it to how my hair felt and behaved after using co-washes from Curlsmith, T-Gin, and Ouidad's own Cleansing Oil Shampoo. After cleansing with this product I had to really think about whether or not I needed to use a separate conditioner, and I always use a separate conditioner. I ended up using a Ouidad conditioner (not from this line), a Ouidad detangler, and two Ouidad styling products. (My usual routine is cleanser, conditioner, detangler, soft styler, and something with more hold for the ends.) My hair looks and feels awesome! I let it air dry while I dressed, zapped the top while hanging upside down for 3 minutes, and let the rest air dry. I am sporting twice as many beautifully formed curls as usual, and the perpetual straw-like strip in the back center of my head is gone. The hair does not feel oily, greasy, sticky, crunchy or weighed down. I am sold! In fact, I came back to buy the full size bottle.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNo slip...feels like soapHaving fine wavy hair that gets easily weighed down, I was on the hunt for a lightweight conditioner to replace my Devacurl "one condition delight" conditioner, and I decided to purchase this, falsely believing this was the best choice for my hair. When I used it after shampooing I had to use an unnecessarily large amount to be able to work it through my hair. This has NO SLIP AT ALL!! It felt like soap and didn't provide the lightweight conditioning it claims to give. My hair was very dry and frizzy after I used this and had to compensate with a heavy leave-in conditioner to be able to smooth and properly detangle my hair. The website claims that it can be used both as a cowash and conditioner, but sadly it provides no conditioning.Reviewed by 40 customersExcellent cowash4lorri from ILI used Unwash cowash for years, and it was okay for my bleach damage but it wasn't great for my curls. Recently I used shampoos of different qualities and brands and every single one dried out my fine curly hair damaging it and exaggerating frizz. I tried this as my first co-wash as a suggestion from my hair lady and I'm pleased to say it does NOT dry out my hair. As a co-wash it does not lather (this is normal). I can finally wash my hair more frequently to get rid of oils without drying it out completely. I'm very impressed by the Ouidad brand. This cowash was reasonably priced for the amount. The product works well in my hair and does a much better job than the other brand I was using. My only down fall is I use 12-15 pumps (small amount of product comes from each pump) to cover all my hair. But I will keep using despite this because my hair feels so healthy!So GOOD!5Cheri101 from Vancouver, WaThe secret to using Quidad conditioning cleansing wash is making sure you have very wet hair, apply, add a bit more water, work in and to the ends. I leave on my whole shower. I LOVE Quidad! My hair is so soft and manageable. I can literally let my long, thick, very naturally curly hair air dry and it looks amazing! This one doesn't make my hair feel heavy or greasy at all, not even after a few days. It feels clean, soft and bouncy. Try it!Very Pleased4Resh from Bay Area, CAI have low density, fine, medium-high porosity, 2c/3a hair. I find that this product works best when I use it in between shampooing/wash days. Because my hair gets greasy quickly that means I often use this on 2nd or 3rd day. After using this product, I follow-up with regular conditioner (not on the roots). It does a good job of reviving my hair without stripping it. As others have mentioned, there isn't much slip so I end up using a lot of the product and the lack of slip is also why I follow-up with conditioner. But this product is a CLEANSING conditioner which is why i'm guessing there is minimal slip. I just wish I didn't have to use a lot of it at once. And my hair is low density so I'd imagine you'd have to use a ton of it if you had thicker hair. Not great. But overall I'm satisfied I've found a co-wash product that is lightweight enough for my hair. I bought this product based on that positive experience, but it was a complete waste of money. There's no lather and is really hard to rinse out. So when I'm washing my hair It feels like it's not doing anything, then when I dry it, there's always some residue that feels awful. I wet my hair, apply and distribute a small amount of product, then rinse and plop. This product produces a nice slip and smoothes out the frizz without me needing to do any major detangling. It's light enough that it doesn't weigh down my curls. I also use it on full wash days as my scalp cleanser (along with Ready, Set, Clean™ Scalp + Hair Rinse) and main conditioner.
