I have thick fine hair and when I blow dry I typically use a straight styling cream of some sort to assist my already fairly straight hair. But, no matter what I get a few bends in it. This product helps to keep it straight without the use of a flat iron. I find it to be lightweight and while in normal light I don't notice the shine aspect as much, I can really tell the difference when I go on a Zoom call. Probably the better light in my office, verses my bathroom, LOL! Highly recommend.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot For Lighter/Fine HairNot only did it NOT make my hair "intensely shiny" it actually made it look duller- greasy and gross. It almost worked decently for my mom whose hair is much darker and thicker than mine, but it didn't last longer than a few minutes. Additionally the smell was like that of really old chemical hairspray so that was already a bit unpleasant. Even opening the package wasn't great because the silver paint on the cap of the bottle was immediately peeled off when I had to take the tape off that kept the bottle sealed. The packaging seemed very cheap… All in all, this isn't worth the nearly 30 dollar price tag.
