I'm using a retinoid product for acne and need something to combat the horrible dryness. However, it just doesn't work for me. The consistency and scent is almost identical to sunscreen; thick, white, and unpleasant to spread on my face. It doesn't feel moisturizing, it just sits on top of my skin like a heavy film. It also clings to my dry patches like CRAZY, so the flakes and dryness are actually more noticeable, almost like pilling? So weird. I thought it was user error and tried multiple times to use it on its own without any other products like serum, moisturizer, etc. but it's the same.
