Now, keep in mind, I was wearing a mask, and I have slight congestion, so my nose isn't the best right now. (I couldn't even smell Cloud when I tried) But this was by far the nicest smelling of the perfumes in store. (My mom and I all smelled God is A Woman, Thank U Next, Moonlight, Cloud, and I believe Sweet Like Candy along with this one.) Maybe it's just my stuffy nose, but I can smell this without it being overwhelming or too much to give a headache. Lavender is a scent I'm neutral on, and I think depending on the other notes it can feel powdery and old ladylike. This is not the case for R.E.M. at all! I think the salted caramel and marshmallow notes help sweeten the scent, giving it personality. I feel that this is a scent for any age, even younger teen girls who are Ariana fans. This isn't too mature, but it's not overly sweet where it seems juvenile. The scent is a nice mix of feminine and sugar, but not in a way that's too cavity inducing. To me, I think of a dream or fairytale, it's very elegant, but definitely something that can be great for every day wear. I sprayed two sprays on my arm to test it's longevity while I worked. The smell has lasted 13 hours now, and I can only tell a slight fading towards the latter half of the day. The scent seems subtle and I couldn't smell unless I pressed my nose to my arm, but again, I only did two sprays and I'm slightly ill. I'm not even a "stan" or a particularly huge fan of Ariana, but I heard great reviews of the scent, and the bottle happens to be my favorite color, as well as R.E.M. being my favorite song by her. I would recommend this even without having the other party smell it. But I always recommend smelling yourself, since particular notes may not vibe with your own preferences for smells, but I think this has mostly tame notes that blend gracefully together with a nice balance of tones, that a blind buy shouldn't be a regret if this sounds enticing.Most Helpful Critical ReviewNot as impressed as I was expectingI love Ariana Grande and wanted to love this but I don't. At first, I sniffed the exterior of the bottle without spraying. It evoked memories of Bonne Bell Lip Smackers but didn't love the nostalgia. I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt so I sprayed myself later. My reaction wasn't that it wasn't horrible but it reminded me of something which I didn't know if I liked. I worked it out with my boyfriend: It smells like a nail/hair/tanning salon. I don't have anything against salons but since it smells like something generic, I don't know if I love smelling like it. Usually I will keep a fragrance even if I don't love it but if my boyfriend doesn't love it, I don't know if I am happy to keep it. Other things to note: 1) On me, I smell no lavender. Someone thought of Mon Guerlain because of that ingredient alone and as a daily Mon Guerlain wearer, this is not to be compared. 2) I was pleasantly surprised by the sillage and longevity of this fragrance. I got a little on my hair last night and still smell it this morning. 3) White musk was predominant on me personally but I wouldn't call this a fall-only scent. 4) Some reviewers said this was an old lady scent, but this is more of like a little girls scent. The target market has to be 9-15. 5) If you love Ari, keep it! But you may not feel transported to a cosmic world. Either way, 8/10delicious warm and musky3paige from nyim not usually into musk scents but i really like r.e.m. the bottle is really pretty and looks nice on my vanity, light reflects out of it in an interesting way. the scent is warm, musk and sophisticated. however, i don't think it lasts very long and i can smell the alcohol in it which was a letdown but it's a celebrity fragrance so you can't expect top quality. i don't think i would purchase a full bottle again (i got it when it first came out). i still have more than half left and i used to wear it everyday. i never got any compliments on it but i love the scent anyway. i'll probably keep the bottle once i use it all since it's so pretty. i'm going to go put it on now lolThis is AMAZINGGG5David from San FernandoI love this perfume so much. I like wearing scents that take me back to a particular time/place/memory that I can never quite put my finger on. I have ALOT of perfumes and for some reason my boyfriend says this is his favorite. It does smell good- I adore the initial scent. It starts warm and indulgent I love sweet gourmand scents and the longevity is good. Cons: it's not really unique. The familiarity of this perfume is very "something I smelled at the mall" if you know what I mean. The scent also dries down somewhat powdery but masculine. I don't necessarily mind cologne type scents though. It's just a completely different smell from the initial spray. Overall: I wear it a lot because my boyfriend likes it. It's great for someone my age (25) or younger. I would've totally drowned myself in this perfume at 16. This will not be my forever perfume as I think I am reaching the age threshold for this one (and I'm only getting older lol). I have all of Ariana's EdP's and I would give every single one 4-5 stars. This one is one of the good ones she has, although I prefer GIAW because I think it's a bit more sophisticated.
