I have never used their previous PLATINUM shampoo, so i don't have that to compare to but... I'm a licensed cosmetologist and i went into Salon Centric to pick up a shampoo. My main focus was to find a shampoo that will help restore my hair, so i saw this one that was for blondes and thought PERFECT. And it's made a huge difference in my hair! It's so soft and feels "heavier" if you know what i mean by that. And to the color? I did NOT turn my shower purple at all. I did two washes because i go days without washing. First wash i use a decent amount. Second wash i literally use a dime size and i have huge bubbles everywhere. But that's like any shampoo I've ever used. I don't think people know that it's okay to do two washes. Lol idk. I didn't leave mine on for longer than like 30 seconds in this picture but you can see a tiny bit of purple on my lightest ends. Which I'm OKAY with personally. I almost prefer it. I've only used a couple times and I'll try and update another picture after leaving it in for a couple minutes next time! My hair does NOT feel greasy at all (maybe because i did two washes lol) and this does NOT smell like baby powder!!! Like at all. Lol. But yeah! Don't get me wrong it brightens the heck out of your hair, but not in a good way. If you use it too much, it will turn your blonde into a whitish gray. I used dry bar before and this never happened. The smell is amazing, however it takes a lot to lather it. I would not recommend using the conditioner with this. I'm a brunette with balayage highlights, and I use it to keep the highlights from looking too caramel-y. The first time I used it, I let it sit on my hair for about 3-4 minutes, and I felt like it made my highlights too light for my liking. But if I don't let it sit it removes the brassiness and doesn't get too light. I also prefer to wash my hair with regular shampoo first, then the purple shampoo so I don't have to use as much.
