I've tried so many other washes none compare to this one.. this one is a keeper for me!Most Helpful Critical ReviewAll in the Name#Influenster #GotItFreeForReview #Complimentary Purity is a good name for the brands Oil-Free Mattifying Cleanser because it felt very clean and pure on my skin. I waited to review because I wanted to try the product for several weeks to see how my skin reacted. I would describe my skin as combo that fluctuates toward dry when I dont wear makeup and oily when I do. For the first week of the trial, I used just Purity and a simple clean-skincare moisturizer. At first, my skin felt overt dry but never flaky. If I didnt get my moisturizer on pretty soon after cleansing, my skin felt tight from drying out. At that point, I was really skeptical about the product even thought it cleanses really well. I continued the trial and by the second week, my skin felt great! Not too dry, not too oily. By the third week, I was wearing makeup again and my face felt oily even after proper makeup removal. Puritys Oil-Free Mattifying Cleanser did a wonderful job getting last vestiges of makeup that my normal routine apparently left behind. I was amazed at what was left in my pores after micellar water and blue lotus milk. However, my face felt oily by bedtime and was very oily the next day. Anytime I wore makeup, I had to increase using the Oil-Free Mattifying Cleanser to at least 2 times a day, and 3 on some days. As for the mattifying power, my skin which is normally not shiny at all, had a glossy, clean sheen after using the cleanser. It didnt look bad, but it definitely wasnt the matte look I was expecting. The packaging is ok, although I forgot some days I was using facial wash because the bottle and color look more like shampoo. I found myself over pouring and having to put some back. A taller, thin bottle would be more of a mental trigger that this was a face cleanser and a lot goes a long way. Overall, I would recommend it if 1) you have skin on the oilier side (def not for dry skin) and 2) dont wear a waterproof makeup. While the cleanser did get the waterproof makeup off, it didnt get rid of the oily sensation left behind. The mattifying power was kind of weak too. I have used this cleanser for several years and it literally takes everything off of your face including makeup however it doesn't strip your face or irritate your skin. I have both a smaller travel size and the larger tub. It works great on my skin and doesn't cause any sort of reaction. I've noticed I don't even have to double cleanse. It just takes off my impurities face oil and or full coverage makeup up with no issues. The scent is delightful and not over powering. It reminds me of something refreshing you would find out a five star hotel.
