I hate the slick sticky texture and stinging smell of traditional US chemical sunscreen, and dislike the tacky thick feel and white cast of most mineral cream formulas. However Im super super pale and live in the high desert, so daily SPF is a must. I usually rely on Korean brands- but this powder was a hit for me. It has surprisingly good coverage and an airbrushed finish. Its very convenient, and I like that its on TOP of my makeup, so I dont have to be concerned with any of my liquid makeup breaking down the integrity and efficacy of the sunscreen. Its also convenient to take with you and reapply without ruining your look. Ideally, you reapply sunscreen part of the way through the day- which is impossible with a full face and an SPF base. The only downsides: its only SPF 30, and my dermatologist has told me that fair skin should use 50 or more at all times, and anything less isnt fully adequate, especially where I live (high altitude and brutal sun). The other downside is that you need to hold your breath while you apply- breathing even a whiff is slightly unpleasant, because the SPF goodness burns your lungs/nasal passages a bit. Nothing crazy- just not a fantastic feeling. I adore the refill system set up- I hope that you can reorder just the cartridges. It feels so much less wasteful than buying a whole brush/dispenser every time. It feels nice on the skin and seems to last. I did have to blend slightly with another brush, but that may have been because I was applying over a slightly tacky moisturizer. Im glad its comprised of clean ingredients too.Most Helpful Critical ReviewI'm saddened to write thisI'm saddened to write this review. When I first learned of this product I was very excited about the possibility of being able to try it. I was even more excited when I learned I would be able to. I don't know if my anticipation built up the expectation for this product. But, sadly, it's missed the mark. The concept is great, brilliant even. The product itself, failed to deliver. Being a powder I thought it would glide on smoothly, or at least that I could easily blend it out with the brush. However it didn't work. It was very cakey, drying, and overall had a grimey feel to it. I received the shade translucent but the it was far from that. Immediately after applying the product my faced had a white powder distinction to it. It ruined the face I had put on underneath. I even tried to wear this product alone with only moisturizer on my face and I was left with the same results. I'm so disappointed, I wanted to love this product so much. I even contemplated using it for my daughter on her playground play days but I didn't want the other kids to tease her about a powdery white dust all over her skin. I did enjoy the packaging and the delivery method of the product. The powder expelling through the brush was pretty cool too,, but that ended up being a fail as well. There was really no way to gauge exactly how much you wanted to go through the brush, so too much would come out with every swoop. So much so that my shirt and pants were saturated with white powdery spots and I had to change. So all in all great idea, but the mark was missed with this one. I did order the other loose powder, and the pressed powder, plus lipstick with lip liner. The loose powder is great, but the other items are not good colors on me.
