I read very mixed reviews about the Bondi Sands Aero Express - After trying the Aero light/ Medium, i wanted to try something darker. On the bottle, the Aero express says for a light/med tan leave for 30 mins, 1 hour only gives a dark tan result, and 2-3 hours for the darkest tan. I'll be honest with you - i thought " 30 minutes only for a MEDIUM tan that lasts? What rubbish " - , I thought well i'll try it. Imagine being tanned for a week after only a 30 minute application! I had to try it. LOL I'm a fair skinned aussie. I prepped as per usual and started applying - the aero is a lightweight dark mousse and it applied very easily. I did my whole body, back and face in about 20 mins. I left it for exactly 40 minutes, then had a long hot shower which took off the guide colour. I got out, i was the exact shade of pale as when i started. I honestly thought, meh - that was money down the drain. Cue to the next morning - OMG! I was DARRRKKKKKK! Like as if i was bronzed from wearing the Bondi Sands Dark mousse for 8 hours!! I couldn't believe how dark i was! But very natural... I was almost too dark lol. I was so suprised at this product. It was even, brown bronzed. Not a hint of orange or yellow. I hit the clubs Friday night and ended up with my shirt off and everyone was complimenting my tan. This is my new go too! From applying to showering off, was less than 1 hour. Usually i'm standing around for hours waiting to dry. I applied Thursday night, i have two showers a day. Its saturday now and my tan is still lovely and dark, just lightly faded. Hardly any fake tanner smell. Try it! Ps - It does not lie when it says 1 hour for a dark tan, so don't leave it on longer than you want. 40 minutes gave me a DARK tan, but takes overnight to develop. What a great product! Thanks Bondi Sands, you are game changers!!! I will never be without a can of this ever again!
Not as dark as I wanted. I normally use loving tan 2hr express in dark and this doesn't get me as dark as that did even if I leave this on for the recommended 3 hours (to get the darkest per the bottle) But this is cheaper and you get more product. This also doesn't show up immediately after rinsing. It will continue developing after rinsing and you'll be darker the next day. I have VERY pale skin (too light for most foundation ranges pale. Maybelline matte and poreless shade 100 pale) with a yellow undertone. This has a green tint and can ALMOST make me look a tad green in some lighting. And this kind of makes my tan look dull and less sun kissed and bronzy. I think I prefer a more red based tan to even out my yellow undertone rather than emphasize it and make me green. This does fade incredibly though! When I first saw people saying it fades into nothing, I didn't know how that was possible. All my tans have always faded splotchy especially around my armpits and elbows etc. but this really doesn't. It just fades and then it's gone and you don't even notice which is great! Unless you layer it then it will splotch. Like if you have it on for a few days and it's started to fade and so you add another coat, then it will fade splotchy. Idk if it does that if you layer immediately after rinsing the first application I only did it after wearing the first layer for about 4 days. (It prob last 5 then nothing's really left on day 6 and 7) It applies nice and even but it's kind of shocking at first because the foam is a dark greenish black and unlike my loving tan, I cannot apply this and then leave the house while it develops because it makes me look like I rubbed black mud all over my body. It doesn't stay sticky for long but the more I use it, it seems like the sticky lasts longer and longer. The smell is okay. It's kind of strong. It's not like the typical tan smell but it definitely has a scent. I think I'd like to try another product by them. I don't see a lot of before and afters for this product on their IG but see a lot of super dark results with the liquid gold I think it's called so I may try that because I want a really dark tan. They do have GREAT customer service. My bottle came broken and they sent me another one with little to no hassle on my end and that was very kind!

I used to dread my self tan routine thinking there was no way past the stinky and sticky aspect. This whip texture glides on so velvety soft! I didn't feel like I had been super gluing in a sweat shop all day either-like usual! Minimal smell and stickiness with this one! I was hesitant to give this one a try but followed a recommendation from my fellow "self tan queen" and was SO GLAD i gave it a shot! I've tried a dozen other prestige brands (mousses, graduals, tan water, lotions) and this is my new fav!

I usually dont like bondi sands because it fades so quick but IF you leave this on while you sleep it stays a good week. Slightly orange the first day but after that it looks so good and natural. Also most self tanners dont stay on my chest and clog my pores. This one stuck. Clogged my pores the first day and after I showered again it was gone.

This is a good self tanner in that it leaves a noticeable and nice color, but it is not quick. I've learned from other products that there is no such thing as a 1-hour self tan. I was in a pinch to get a tan before an event and left this on for 2-3 hours and got a light tan (for reference, I'm very pale). It does have a nice consistency and dries quickly so you don't feel as sticky. In the future, I will use it as a traditional 8-hour self tanner.

Tried this for the first time this morning and the foam was like COMICALLY green on my skin. Texture of the foam is really airy and buttery and i dont know of thats leads to it being super hard to spread/blend it. It dried nearly instantly and lead me to add more of it to try to blend it out which also did not work and just made it more green and streaky. Washed it off immediately so I have no way to tell if it would've developed normally.

This is a thousand times better than St. Tropez luxe foam tanner. I'm fair to light skinned and tan in the summer. This gave me such a natural tan on my legs and feet. I did the 30-40 minute wait before rinsing off. I felt like it wasn't dark enough, so I waited a day and did another application and it looks perfect! It also didn't cause streaky dark spots around my knees, ankles, and feet like other self tanners. It blended so well! It doesn't leave a weird, lingering smell either. Pretty much no smell at all, and my skin looks moisturized. Amazing!!! I will never go back to St. Tropez after using Bondi Sands!

I like the color of this. It's not orange and definitely has some olive tones to it for a more natural tan look, however, applying it is tricky because it dries REALLY fast so you have to apply fast and make sure you're covering all areas. The tint of the foam helps to make sure you get it in all the spots you need to. The tint washes off easily in the shower and the tan slowly develops overnight. I didn't have any transfer of color or anything on my sheets or clothes and I didn't look streaky anywhere either.

I was was looking for a new express tan and wanted to give this a try. This formula dried extremely fast. To the point where I had splotchy spots especially on my arms and legs. I left it on for almost two hours. I applied it thurdsay evening and after rinsing off almost all of the color was gone. 1 day later and there is no color left on my skin. I wanted to love this product but for me this was not the one!

I'm naturally tan easily, except for my legs. They're always pale and don't match the rest of my body. This stuff gives me a natural tan that gets my body all one color. The color intensity is customizable depending on how long you leave it on!

The best thing about this tanner is the smell. It truly does smell like coconuts and the smell fades out to nothing after washing it off. I've never experienced a tanner with no scent after a wash so I love it for that. But I am disappointed with the color, I was expecting darker and more olive toned. I'm regularly translucent pale. I kept it on for 8 hours and I only got a little bit of color. Overall it is good but next time I will add two layers.

Only last about 5 days before color is 100% gone.

I finally found my favorite go-to easy tanner. It doesn't smell bad, the color is a BEAUTIFUL olive color with a slight golden tone, doesn't get patchy, dries quickly so there's minimal to no transfer on sheets or clothes. I just can't say enough great things about this product. Just make sure you shower midday and exfoliate everywhere, then let your skin calm down and apply lotion or body butter everywhere especially dry parts like knees, hands, and elbows, then apply the tanner before bed and wash off in the morning. The color WILL rinse off a bit but that's normal, it is supposed to get darker over the next day or two so do this a day or two in advance before an event. But for the most part honestly the color stayed and looked pretty much the same compared to how it looked when I initially put it on! I'm also super pale and this color looked so good and natural! Get thisssss!!!

I left it in overnight and all of it washed off except my hands lol so kit looks like I have orange gloves on. I would 100% not recommend.

I tried the hour express tan in ultra dark and left it on for two and a half hours only for it to completely wash off in the shower. It's almost comical how bad this experience was. Other Bondi sands tan have a different formula which take longer but are worth the wait.

Color developed nicely. Minimal transfer onto clothes. Color was even after rinse. Less is more… better results working smaller areas than most foam tanners.

There is no way that I am the only one that this is happening to! As soon as I applied it, I noticed immediately the color! It was an army green! I thought maybe the color would change after a while. It did not. I do not recommend this product what so ever

I don't really need any help in the suntan department as I have an olive complexion and tan very easily with little to no sunburn . However, I don't always have time to sunbathe and it's not particularly enjoyable during the summer months because it's JUST. SO. HOT!!! So, when I found this product, I was ecstatic. It's like a mouse so it goes on silky smooth . When I purchased my first can of this product, it came with a mitt for easy, even application. I apply it after a shower , allow it to dry before getting dressed, then go about my day finishing up household chores or scrolling through my instagram feed . Then, after about an hour , I rinse off quickly and glow. It has never left streaks or uneven splotches on my skin . It makes my skin soft and supple and it looks marvelous! I only reapply very few days and I've received lots of compliments on my tan ever since I started using this product!

i use the regular bondi sands but i wanted to try this one because i've seen good reviews on it and it only takes an hour. i did everything i was supposed to. i exfoliated, moisturized, and waited an hour to tan. it was super streaky when i was putting it on and green? i left it on for an hour and a half then rinsed it off. literally did what it said - got in the shower and let water run over it. ALL OF IT CAME OFF!!!!!! i didn't use soap, i didn't scrub, nothing!! i love the regular foam tan they have but i will be returning this one and won't buy it again

I used this product and kept it on for 3 hours, and didn't do anything on my body type. I did it again the following day and this time is made a slight difference. It left me some patching on certain areas of my body, and it did not look good. My legs on the other hand and other parts of my body looked nice. This is an okay product, but I returned it and will not consider buying this again.

I usually use another well known brand, although I have tried a couple of other brands. I decided to give this product a shot because it had good ratings and I was hopeful as this express tanning foam is about $15 less expensive than the brand I normally get. I used it twice; the first time it gave me a natural color, but the tan was light. I left it on for 3 hours which is supposed to yield the darkest tan. So a couple of days later I decided to self tan a second time to build a deeper tan. I left it on for just over 2 hours and when I rinsed it off I notice red dry patches on my upper arm which definitely wasn't there before. I've never had a reaction to any of the other brands I used. I'm hoping the reaction will go away soon. I wish I just got the brand I normally get. I only noticed the reaction on my upper arms. My underarms have a stinging feeling which I've never gotten from my normal brand either. I'm not new to self tanning and I've been trained on several self tanning brands when I used to work in beauty so I'm very familiar with the application and development process for self tanners. This wasn't from a mistake I made. This was a reaction.

Look, I'm pale AF, I'm not good at self tanner applications and this stuff gave me that nice golden glow without the streaks. If you're a self tan screw up like I am, then this full proof foam is for you. Make sure you get the glove they sell with it, it's sooo much better than a regular plastic glove and reusable

They must have changed the formula because I recently picked up a bottle and it was a mess! I turned green and not from the guide color. When I took a shower the green hue did not wash off. Thankfully it only lasted two days because I looked insane. Never again!

I really wanted to like this tanner because there's no gross smell and it seemed to dry pretty quickly. I used my best tanning mitt and this Tanner went on so patchy! I worked quickly and small sections and it was still super patchy. This is not worth the time or effort! Avoid!

Super easy to apply! Apply it as directed in long sweeping motions, then buff it in when it's almost dried down. Kept it on for about 5 hours & then just rinsed NO SOAP! Color is amazing super natural like you just spent a few days at the beach! & can't beat the price!
Desiree from Nebraska
Important part about applying is to swipe product in one direction, do not try to apply in a circular motion. I get so many compliments on my tan with this stuff and it smells great.
